  1. I had a Kahr P380. I loved that little gun. It's my opinion that it is the best pocket .380 available. It's a a long very smooth DAO trigger, very much like a nice S&W revolver in DA. Long but very smooth, feels good but deliberate enough to act as the safety. Also it has all the functions of a full sized gun. By that I mean, it has a standard push button magazine release behind the trigger guard. It locks the slide back on the last round. It has an extractor. It has usable, decent sights, with better aftermarket options available. Just a great gun that weighs very little and can be used in your weak hand. I carried it weak side front pocket so the mini 1911 style single actions with a manual safety wouldn't work for me.

    .38/.357

Ordinarily I would agree, but he said he fired .357s AFTER that and it was fine. Almost has to be a bad batch of ammo.

Only thing I can figure is a bad lot of ammo. I'd try a new box of 38s personally to be sure.
  4. I would consider changing the sight to metal a minor issue, if everything else is good to go. I have never owned a single firearm that I didn't want to change at least something on anyways.
  5. I have wanted to get one of the Surefire ones but I would want a twist one simply for the glass breaker on the end. Just never actually went and bought one.
  6. They are designed for their new Hunter 700 chassis, but of course they fit any AICS bottom metal. I do believe I read that 10 rounders will be made as well, but not sure.
  7. Exactly. I like to think I know a bit about guns but there are guys here that have forgotten more about guns than I'll ever know. Just listen and read and you will probably learn something.
  8. On that truck it's as much about the look as it is performance. Unless you really get into needing more traction, either the BFG radials or Firestone Indy 500 is what you want. Your tire size is what you are going to find in that type tire and that diameter, sidewall, and wheel diameter.
  9. Sounds to me like someone figured out a way to get some money from the stupid liberals.
  10. They make preachers invent new curse words.
  11. I don't know if any of you have actually used the little heater heads that go on a propan tank but I have been around when other guys used them in the winter in construction. This was in a pretty much finished house just doing paint and trim work, all sealed. Those little heaters weren't worth 2 cents when it got really cold. That's just my experience. Get a space heater with a thermostat when it gets really cold. They are loud but put ou the heat.
  12. I highly doubt anyone will have modified guns for rentals. Closest I have seen Is an Eotech on the Kriss at Nashville Armory.
  13. I don't really try to break my phone but I do drop it from time to time. That being said, I have a Magpul case and a tempered glass screen protector. It handles everything I do and looks more tactical being Magpul lol
  14. Strangely I am drawn to #1. But I would have to use it as a belt knife, way too big FOR ME for a neck knife. Edit: you might consider addin a poll to this thread...
  15. I carry a Mini Griptillian, it's a great working knife but if you can, jump on Willis' deal. From all I've heard, the zero tolerance knives are truly a cut above. Also, Zero Tolerance is Kershaw's higher end tactical line.
  16. Anybody remember seeing Stepahnie Hayden's mugshot? It sure didn't flatter her. But this chick wouldn't have been living in my house to start with.
  17. Dash cams are already being developed as optional and possibly standard equipment on new vehicles. Supposedly a safety standard in the near future.
  18. I never said I'd give me up. If I can acquire them by any means, I'll get them. And some alphabet agency isn't going to have them handed over by me. Kind of like driving on public roads, if a cop really wanted to you could be arrested and charged for something at any given time. There are so many laws, it is impossible to obey them all. Laws only concern me as to how much hassle I will receive from law enforcement. I was raised to know right from wrong, the law isn't always right, but I fully intend to do what is right no matter what.
  19. I don't understand why in a duty weapon they chose the 19 over the 17. I have heard of smaller units, probably some kind of special forces or something, taking the G19s they found on the enemy and using them theirselves instead of the M9. Just a rumor though. But hasn't it been long withstanding that SOC gets to use whatever they want as far as a sidearm?
  20. I'm just going to assume that anything firearms related is illegal in one way or another.
  21. That's more like a gorilla fist
  22. Call me crazy but isn't going to get milk and bread, and usually eggs too from when most sane people had all the non perishable supplies they would need for a storm like this put away, but having extra milk and bread and eggs goes bad pretty quick so you can't really keep them out away for emergencies. Therefore, that is why you go get the perishable essentials right before the storm.
  23. Mostly sleet and ice here in Smyrna

Figure out what you want it for first then decide what is best for that application. There are a few guns that are good at many things but nothing is good at everything. It's all application driven.
  25. I was wondering if and when someone was going to mention Lucky, Buckle, True Religion, etc.
