Same here, I don't ride anymore, used to though. Helmet laws and seatbelt laws should not be on the books. They are only to generate revenue. Where I used to work, you had to have a clean driving record for our department and they checked it every year. One guy who was a a great worker, had moved here from another state that didn't have a helmet law and he didn't know TN had one. He got pulled over and got a ticket for it. Then before he could get to the shop to buy a helmet he got pulled over again and they gave him another ticket for it. And technically they are considered moving violations. It was enough to have him transfer out of our department to a much lower paying job.

Surefire has no equal as far as hard use high performance flashlights go. I had always heard they had great customer service.

I see real value in having at least one gun in all common calibers. For handguns that would include .357mag/.38spl, .44mag, 9mm, .40s&w, .45acp, and .380acp. .22lr for rim fire, 12ga and maybe 20ga shotguns, and for rifles probably 5.56, .308, 7.62x39, and for hunting rifles .30/30, .30-06, .243, .270.

Looks like a great knife, I've never even laid hands on a ProTech but it sounds like from the TGO knives they are quality. Not only that but we are getting a custom knife cheaper than the run of the mill ones.

It's kind of a double edged sword to me. On one hand the government should have absolutely no say in whether or not I can carry a gun or be able to make me do something I order to have the privilege to. But on the other hand it seems to me that a lot of people nowadays lack the mental capacity to acknowledge they are carrying a deadly weapon that could hurt not only them or the bad guys but also innocent bystanders. And as such, they should seek out training in how to use their weapon. But like in so many other aspects of life, some people are so stupid/ignorant/stubborn, that everyone has to be regulated into doing what is right. There would be no rules/laws if everyone just did what was right.

I'm on mobile and can't see it but what is your location? When I lived in Coffee County it was fairly common to have a well especially out in the country. But now living in Rutherford County, I don't hear about it much and I assume it has to do with all the rock around here and it being extremely difficult to dig.

Nothing beats the peace of mind of having a well. It goes right along with having a septic tank, propane tank, and a generator. Independence from the grid. Widespread severe power outages where the city doesn't have power, there is no city water. But you will have water if you have a well and a power source( generator, small solar panels, hand pump). I don't see a negative aside from initial cost. But then You have water. Period. If you can have a well, you would be wise to have one installed. I wired a house for one guy and he had it hooked up to both city and a well with a valve to change it over if the city water went out.

I wouldn't rely on it for carry ammo. Isn't it fairly expensive? For any caliber there is, Speer Gold Dot is hard to beat. I personally have been carrying the Barnes TAC-XPD ammo here lately.
