  1. I've never hunted hogs but I have read a few articles on it and what I have read is that hogs react to the hydrostatic shock from high velocity more than a moderate velocity big bore. One particular instance I remember reading about, 2 guys, one with a 12ga with slugs and one with an AR in 5.56. The AR dropped them faster than the 12.
  2. It's the standard caliber for the Russians and a few other non-NATO countries. Just sayin
  3. I want one too, especially after seeing Hickok shoot it with .357mags. Looked like no flip at all.
  4. Remember, at least to the media, Bushmaster sti has a negative vibe to it.
  5. Their 3 barreled shotgun isn't cheap either. I haven't laid hands on a Rhino but I have held a Triple Threat shotgun and it just feels like a real high quality gun.
  6. I hate to do that to Big Green, but may have to. Read the other day that they bought Para Ordnance and will no longer be making their double stacks but expanding the Remington line of 1911s and closing Para altogether.
  7. I am most surprised at all the .357Sigs we have. I knew THP had them but I wasn't aware of any others. There are still a lot more .40s than I thought there would be.
  8. 70-77gr is best for the shorter barrel 5.56 Maybe consider a 5.56 upper for the range and put a .300blk upper on it if used for HD.
  9. Yep, same as 7 or 8 rounders for the government/commander frame. The 6 rounders may be more reliable IDK
  10. I was going to suggest Defender, but if you just got rid of one... If you're ok with an external extraxtor, S&W. Nothing wrong with finding a used Springfield either.
  11. Yeah, it'd suck to have to change your screen name again, lol
  12. If I were starting from scratch, I would have thought of bolting it to the side of the center floor console, but your idea is more creative.
  13. If talking purely energy, .45super isn't all that far off from 10mm power. .460rowland requires a compensator or porting. It's too much pressure and slide velocity with a standard barrel on a 1911. You can't get a recoil spring stout enough to handle it alone.
  14. I'm pretty sure that was a legit back room conversation. Lol
  15. Leupold makes a 1.1-8x and Schmidt & Bender make a true 1x-8x. Pricey though.
  16. Ah yes, I had forgotten about the S&W 3rd gen autos.
  17. Also check Fusion Firearms. They might be considered custom, but I believe they have some 10mm stuff
  18. I really can't recall the last time I saw an officer in uniform that had pink handcuffs on their utility belt, even the female ones.
  19. Thought about something the size of an Aimpoint T-1 or RMR in an offset mount along with your scope?
  20. Yep bobtailed stainless. Discontinued and when you do find them they are pricey, as you have found out :) Aside from a full house custom, I think that's your only 1911 option. Of course there is the Glock 29 and also I think the EAA witness compact is available in 10mm, not sure. Edit: just thought, you might could find a S&W 610 with a 3-4" barrel and some smaller grips.
  21. Do you mean commander or officer? Dan Wesson used to make a commander bobtail in 10mm. Custom places like Wilson and maybe some others might make a commander 10mm but I've never seen or heard of an officer frame 10mm
  22. TGO is a dedicated icon on my smartphone. Got to stay up to date.
  23. The key word regarding officers having full auto is "trained professional " I know I personally do not trust many in LE to handle even a 5.55 on full auto in an urban setting with innocent civilians around. In some instances, it could be beneficial if the area had been cleared but every joe blow in a patrol car with a machine gun, no thanks. Many still believe a shotgun will blow someone backwards. I also made the comment, "aside from SWAT". I certainly see SWAT having the training and being in the situation to utilize full auto, suppression, short barrels etc. If LE had to follow the same rules citizens do as far as firearms, laws would be very different
