  1. I'm not sure if this is the case where it's being done on purpose but, The old African type double rifles, the reason they are so expensive is that it's a very tedious and time consuming process to regulate the barrels. And by that, they have to adjust them to ensure that if both barrels are fired at the same time, that the bullets don't strike each other mid flight. Sometimes it takes a lot of ammunition and those rifles didn't fire cheap ammo to begin with. I'm not saying they designed this 1911 to fire one barrel slightly later than the other, but it would make perfect sense if so.
  2. TN doesn't ban anything ammunition wise that the Feds don't. I carry Barnes TAC-XPD, it's not illegal.
  3. In most videos that I have seen, Smith and Wesson usually puts a Leupold Delta Point on their pistols for demonstration/promotional purposes.
  4. Just because he is popular doesn't mean he's right ;)
  5. It's a pretty well known fact that aside from places like Buffalo Bore and Black Hills, most ammo manufacturers don't load to max pressures. Some guns can handle it, some can't.
  6. Anybody know anything about GrayMan knives? just found those and they look good
  7. That's awesome! Next up, Spots for President!
  8. I don't reload yet but plan to start in the near future and plan on trying to duplicate and improve the factory loads for carry. I would have no problem using my personal hand loads. I would rather have a jacketed hollow point but if lead is all we have available, that's fine. Just a lead round nose mushrooms enough to be effective. And then there are the lead hollow points.
  9. http://www.quackenbushairguns.com .308. .458 and .50 caliber air guns.
  10. Same here. I have owned tons of guns, and have never sent one back.
  11. Guess I failed situational awareness on this one.
  12. Anything on the back and rear side windows. Nothing on windshield and 35% on driver and front passenger window.
  13. I see she brought milk as well...
  14. .45 is God's caliber though and it's power is unmatched.
  15. Thanks willis, I will look at what Protech has for fixed blades, I love my TR4. I was really expecting more variety. Kind of like asking which polymer striker fired pistol, you would have glock, S&W, XD, Sig P320, HK vp9, and Walther ppq. But it sounds like it's basically ESEE or custom?
  16. That is gorgeous! I love Damascus blades, I think they look even better with ivory handles.
  17. The absolute essentials are food water shelter and security. For food, MREs are ok, but I like freeze dried meals like mountain house better. Water, you need containers and filtration. Shelter would be a solid change of clothes and something to shield you from the elements. Rain poncho, emergency sleeping bag, etc. Security. You didn't mention a pistol but I'm assuming you are using your EDC. I'd also have redundant ways to start fire. A solid fixed blade would be invaluable. Make sure some good boots are part of the equation. Some para it's would be very useful, along with duct tape. A first aid kit would be good as well. A multi tool is very handy as well. Some spare cash too. It doesn't really need to be too extensive, it's just to get you home, a 24hr bag at most.
  18. I have a SOG Seal Pup Elite and I think it's pretty small, it was a gift. Looking for something bigger and heftier, the SOG doesn't seem like it could take much abuse.
  19. I'm looking for a fixed blade knife to keep in a bug out bag or a car bag. I guess you could call it a survival type knife but I don't want anything extra just a good solid knife. I've been looking at the ESEE line of knives specifically the 4 5 and 6 and maybe a even get an izula for EDC. I feel like I know most of what is out there for folding knives, but I don't know what is out there for fixed blade production knives. Not looking at a full custom yet, likely in the future but not now. From what I can tell, the ESSE line is solid, but are there some others I should be looking at? Thanks
  20. 9mm vs full power .357mag is no contest, no matter the barrel length. Now, 9mm vs .38spl +P, that's going to be very close with I think 9mm having the edge.
  21. When increasing the power on a diesel you will have some black smoke under a heavy load, whether that be towing or hauling or just hot rodding it. It's just a by product of power. But most of the kids doing it are simply to be obnoxious. Same as the huge exhaust tips, no point beyond a 5" tip and that's only if you have 5" exhaust. Oh and contrary to popular opinion, diesel exhaust may look bad but it's better than a gasoline engine exhaust for the environment. The harmful stuff in diesel exhaust just settles to the ground, whereas gasoline exhaust stays in the air causing all sorts of problems.
  22. Well at least Voldemort has faded away. This guy, not so much.
  23. For me, a G26, Shield, or an XDS will not fit in the pocket of anything I own, comfortably. Closest thing I have owned that fits in my pockets is a PM9 and a P380. But I don't wear really baggy pants or tactical type pants made for pocket carry.
