  1. Wow, how long did you have to wait for that one Very nice indeed!
  2. A .444 rifle is going to be hard to sell even if it is a rare Winchester. A nickel 29 in excellent condition should be fairly easy to sell.
  3. Something I haven't seen mentioned here that is relevant to the Gen 3 and 4s is that the finger grooves have different spacing between the 17 and 19. Worth mentioning and putting hands on first.
  4. Well to be fair, I have seen Lawless multiple times but didn't know what the actors names were. It's just something I don't pay attention to much. I didn't know the story of the Kray twins either, but this seems like a good movie so I'll probably watch it.
  5. Hk45 or a USP45. I loved the USP45 I had just hated the proprietary rail. Haven't got a full sized hk45 yet but had a hk45c for a while and absolutely loved it. Yes I drink the HK kool aid. Another is the original XD-45 service. It is still the gun that fits my hand better than anything else ever has. I don't know if any of these have small grip circumferences, I have large hands.
  6. A few thoughts on the pelvic shots, There are a whole lot blood veins and arteries running in that area, a shot there will likely cause them to bleed out quickly. There is, of course, as mentioned before, the psychological effect of getting shot in the dick. If you are shooting a heavy enough caliber(not debating whether or not 9mm is heavy enough, it may be), a shot to the pelvis that hits the pelvis bone, will shatter it. That is what holds up your entire body. You will go down and you will never get up. Ever. You may live, but with all of our modern medicine, you will never walk again. You will never stand, sit or lay without being in excruciating pain again. I think we can agree that a pelvic shot probably would be looked down upon in court, but it would be pretty easy to say you pulled the shot anticipating recoil and shot low. Mistakes happen :)
  7. My thoughts on it are this, I dislike the .40 simply because of what it is and what it came from, it is a neutered 10mm. It just bothers me. I can honestly say that I know when it hits the fan in a high stress situation, my shot placement won't be near as good as it is on a square range. And for that reason, I have decided to carry a .45 as a primary with a couple spare mags and a .357 snub as a BUG. I shoot a .45 pretty good. In fact, better than any .40 I have tried. I prefer the extra power of the .45.
  8. Springfield XDS 45
  9. There is not one single problem in this world that cannot be solved with a sufficient amount of either money or high explosives.
  10. I was wondering what truck has a 5 speed auto and a 140mph speedo
  11. I despise the .40 simply because it is a compromise caliber and really combines the worst of both the 9mm and 45. Lower velocity of the 45 but without the weight and size that make the 45 work and the lighter weight of the 9mm but without the velocity that makes it work. 10mm is full power, I see it kind of like the .357mag/.38spl. I don't like .38spl either, not reason in my mind when you can have .357mag in the same size gun. .45acp or .45super are the perfect anti personnel rounds IMO. 10mm is for if you want/need a bit more
  12. Same here, too much for what it is. But if think the M9A3 is bad, check out the 92 Fusion.
  13. I'm pretty sure if you are in public someone could take whatever pictures they want. Only recourse I can imagine is if it turns into libel/slander ( I can never remember which is written and which is verbal), or defamation of character or what not. I'm sure an actual attorney or law guy will be along soon. I'm just guessing.
  14. I wouldn't pay more for a 50th anniversary than for a standard one. Around $200
  15. I will use it for my renewal whenever it comes up.
  16. No problem. Don't forget the pics and range report ;)
  17. Yes I have heard the whole "rock n roll is the devil" speech lol You have to remember his age, if it isn't trending on Facebook or Twitter, he probably hasn't heard of it. I'm betting that someone his age won't hear about someone like Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd, Metallica, etc unless they have hipster friends ( they like digging into the past and reviving old stuff like its new and different) or they are exposed to it from someone that has listened to it since it came out, Dad, Uncle, You etc.
  18. I'm with you on that. However the BFR puts a new spin on the old concept of a handgun and rifle with same cartridge. No one makes a reasonably priced .460S&W lever gun. I only know of one and it's ridiculously priced. Not so much so if you were looking for a custom rifle but very much so if you just want a .460 lever gun.
  19. I'm 27 and I fall in his category sometimes. Someone will be talking about what I soon learn to be an extremely popular band and I have never heard of them. I have only ever listened to country music or gospel my whole life ( and only gospel from my mother or at church). From the time I was old enough to go to work with my dad ( he owned his own business, about the time I was old enough to walk) until even now, never heard anything but country music. Just what my tastes in music are. I have heard of most of the most popular stuff just from passing conversation, but not all.
  20. If you only counted members that have 10 posts or more, it would drastically reduce the numbers
  21. Most of the thousands aren't even active, and of the ones that are probably just didn't care enough to even open the thread.
  22. It's not exactly practical though, mil/le, when they need to shoot, they need to shoot NOW. Not when you line up crosshairs and a dot (or however it exactly works). It may have an application in an extremely upgraded and refined version, but the current version isn't ready for the field.
  23. Sent up.
  24. I don't see how this is much of an issue. This is a target or hunting gun. It won't ever be allowed in any sort of competition and as it functions now, it's not applicable to any law enforcement or military use.
  25. That is GORGEOUS!
