  1. I guess the guys on covert ops in Siberia use Aimpoints then :)
  2. Care to explain why you need a left handed slide stop? Do you use is as a slide release? I'm guilty of it sometimes myself, although I know I should be using the slingshot method instead.
  3. Lots of reasons for the ammo. As for .308 vs .338, you do know those take different receivers not to mention a much higher power level
  4. Don't laugh, I can definitely see that happening. Sadly...
  5. Would I be suspicious? Yes. This is one of two things. A diversion to concentrate on while something else is in play. Or it is a statement saying they are here and have access to the materials they need. There is simply no reason for 60+ cell phones to be purchased at once. It draws too much attention when you could spread it out and achieve the same thing.
  6. Looking good! Glad I could help. How's the quality on it?
  7. I'm not so sure you could get a threaded barrel for the 40. It's already 6" long lol
  8. Exactly. A certain items value will not be the same after a long term collapse. Grid down, a tv or DVD player would be near worthless, where as a good fixed blade knife would be invaluable, as would a box of .30-06
  9. I was going to suggest the ESEE Izula. Or maybe an ESEE-3
  10. What more could you ask for? Being born in the same century would be a start. Oh and English. English is big bonus.
  11. Think about what can you absolutely not live/survive without. Food, water, shelter, security. Those are the well known basics. That means farming, hunting, fishing, raising animals, construction, shooting, and defensive tactics. Those are skills that you should try to learn. It's not as easy as buying something but once you learn that skill, it can/will make you money the rest of your life. Training is the most valuable thing you can buy. Other skills that will be very valuable are basic first aid to advanced medical care, ability to do handyman type repairs, automotive repair, carpentry, leather working, metal working, etc. This is not to say that you shouldn't stockpile goods, it's actually a really great idea. Some things aren't worth making if you can buy it. Take scissors for example. It would take a long time to make a pair of scissors when you can buy a pair for 99 cents. Same with mirrors or many other things. Think about things that the Indians didn't have but Americans had after we became industrialized. Also, google what sorts of things have an indefinite shelf life. Many spices do. Peanut butter, it only separates, mix it up and it's good to go. Same with honey. Honey and cinnamon is a home remedy for lots of health issues.
  12. Without a select fire lower, it doesn't excite me.
  13. Sounds like dynamite when used at max pressure stuffed in a .357sig case to me. Or 9x25dillon
  14. It's all GM so it very well could be I know my extended cab and my dads old crew cab Duramax were the same as those in the pic.
  15. Lol, I have an extended cab sierra and thought that's what that was, looking closer, that looks like a Hummer H2. Very similar back seat though. Meh, clean cars are over rated.
  16. I LOVE this idea, something I never thought of. And that looks nearly identical to my back seat in my truck.
  17. Silencerco lobbies heavily for this sort of thing. #fightthenoise I think it is. I would think if this passed and they could sell that many more it would allow more R&D for more innovative products. If this passed, like mentioned before, it would change the market drastically. Heck even now in European countries, it is considered common courtesy to use a suppressor and they aren't restricted anymore than the rifles over there.
  18. I'm single with no kids. Therefore I don't have to justify it to anyone but my bank account :D
  19. Saddleback leather. Made in Texas I think. I have one and after about a year it is just now getting nice and broken in. This is definitely the best wallet and probably leather good I have ever had. His company motto is " your kids will fight over it when your gone." Has a lifetime guarantee as well. 100% top quality. I can't recommend it enough.
  20. I had a 410 when I was younger. A 20ga pump or even better a semi isn't much more recoil than a single shot 410. A 410 is much harder to hit with even for me now and I'm better than average at hitting stuff on the wing. It has less shot flying and therefore more difficult to hit with. It certainly doesn't do much for your self esteem when you can't hit what you put the bead on. A 410 will frustrate even an experienced shotgunner who is used to throwing a larger payload. A 20 ga is the best option IMO, I was 10 when I got my 20ga.
  21. Amen. Same thing can be said of your carry gun. Do you carry something high quality or something you won't mind being in an evidence locker for the rest of eternity after a shoot? My life is worth more than worrying about a gun being stolen.
  22. My original post in this thread was People still watch Star Wars? Obviously some still do... So are they going to have a scene in this one where Captain Kirk fights Darth Vader?
  23. What's the budget? FDE accessories aren't a problem but the receivers being FDE certainly cuts down on options unless he would be willing to have it coated after purchase.
