  1. Just make sure you don't create an SBR first then attach the suppressor.
  2. From the way I understand it, if you pin and weld a suppressor, you can avoid a SBR stamp but no way around a suppressor stamp. Same as an integral suppressor, look at the Liberty Leonidas for a factory example
  3. Got an email that Desert Tech will be accepting pre orders for their new MDR at SHOT show this year. It must be getting pretty close to production.
  4. It's possible an oreilleys may have something. They have a lot of screws/bolts and such. Otherwise I'd say order it from brownells or somewhere similar.
  5. What is that greg? Officers .45acp? Love the grips and finish!
  6. When it was shown off at show show last year, they said sometime 2016 for a sbr version of LWRC SMG
  7. Kimber Solo
  8. @musicman With S&W teaming up with General Dynamics, they want the new army pistol contract pretty bad. The current M&P doesn't satisfy all the requirements, mostly being caliber agnostic. They would have to redesign the M&P or design something new to compete. I agree on some new 3rd gen smiths. Heck I'd be happy if they were Performance Center only guns. I read some reports of the late 3rd gen 4506 performance centers out shooting high end custom 1911s , they were no slouches.
  9. Got it, Thanks for the tips.
  10. 50% of what? I haven't been around weights and gyms/lifting either, probably don't know what most of the jargon is. I don't plan on going to a gym just get free weights and a bench and Dumbbells and start at home. I plan on looking online and YouTube to see what some good ways to work the different muscle groups are. I'm 6'5" 250lbs now, mostly like to lean out first then gain muscle mass. Just want to be in better physical shape.
  11. I plan to start working out/weightlifting. I have wanted to for a while but need to actually start. I have always worked physically demanding jobs but never touched a set of weights in my life. May end up hurting myself from bad technique who knows. And not this year, but year after next (have to wait to top out and make enough money to do work and school) I plan to go back to school at MTSU and get my Bachelors in Mechanical engineering, won't be easy working full time plus school but easy never got anybody anywhere anyways.
  12. Muzzle flash is not my concern. Muzzle blast is my issue. If you are shooting from the hip, literally, soon as you clear your holster, rotate up towards the target and fire or firing from a close retention position with someone at arms length to you, muzzle blast is coming at you and not your target, could burn you or your clothing.
  13. I'm not a fan of ported barrels on defensive or carry guns. It's not like the shield is harsh recoil-wise anyways. I wouldn't mind a non ported shield with the performance center seat though.
  14. I'm hoping for a HK VP45 Or for S&W to announce they will no longer be making revolvers with internal locks.
  15. I'd suggest a Remington 870. I prefer the safety over the Mossbergs and most Mossbergs I have held have been looser than Remington's. Turkey guns usually have a shorter barrel (20" ish) which is fine for HD. I'd suggest a 870 setup for turkey with either a fiber optic sight or a red dot sight and have an accessory barrel around 28" for clays, which you could sell later when you get a dedicated clay gun. Most turkey guns would be camo finished and fairly durable.
  16. Slightly on the original topic, http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2015/12/foghorn/rumor-leaked-pictures-of-rugers-forthcoming-american-pistol/ Looks like price is expected to be $575. I'll pass. I'll just say this, for a 9mm full sized striker fired polymer frame pistol, if I can buy an H&K for the same price as a Ruger, I know what I'm getting.
  17. I believe the term is "equal opportunity hand gunner" :)
  18. Just clarifying :) FWIW, I believe the 40 is their code for a 4" bbl, 20 for a 2", etc.
  19. The Rhino is made in .357mag, .38spl only, 9x19mm, 9x21mm, and .40S&W. There is also a .357mag/9mm combo gun available with 2 cylinders
  20. It's not that bad looking IMO. Certainly not the best, and the problem is that there are so many striker fired polymer pistols out there, you have to do something new, and they didn't. If it's not competitive to street prices on M&Ps, I don't see it doing so well. And I'd pick a M&P over this anyway for the same price point.
  21. Since Smith & Wesson partnered up with General Dynamics, I think it's safe to say that the new army pistol will likely be a M&P or at least a S&W.
  22. Evidently I'm out of the loop, but what the heck is "New Britain"? Is that the new term for New England? Or what?

    Tv Shows

Breaking bad takes a while to get going. Oh but when it does... I loved Sons of Anarchy. House of Cards is pretty good.
  24. Isn't it implying that you have to do a background check on every purchase? Basically everything has to be done with an FFL transfer
  25. Since you can't really regulate intent very well. You have to put a number on it. And that is based on what the average reasonable person would be doing, in their eyes. 30 guns a year is more than 1 gun every other week or more than 2 a month. I'm betting there are licensed FFLs that don't do that much business. Yes we are being targeted and even more highly regulated.
