  1. i asked about this as i am only 19 and have had a few different handguns. i asked Joe at HeroGear about this and he told me that if bought from a gunshop, you must be 21, but if bought from a private individual or recieved as a gift, you only have to be 18. also said that you only have to be 18 to be in possession of it also.
  2. exactly what i want except add 10mm to the platform and also i really dont like the looks of a SIG, so....
  3. there are the glocks, which i mentioned isnt the colt delta elite being reintroduced? Kase Reeder( custom 1911 'smith) has a custom longslide 10mm that looks awesome IMO but not quite worth the $2800 tag....
  4. make it a double stack magazine, that holds ~10 rounds of .45acp (think glock 30 size, maybe a bit taller) and that same mag could hold ~10-12 rounds of 10mm. i would think that 10 rounds of .45acp or 10mm would be enough for anything you would come across and would be willing to have only a handgun to defned yourself with.
  5. i would want caliber interchangeability, from 9mm, .40, .357sig, .45acp, and 10mm, with only changing the top end (slide and frame) and magazine.
  6. http://www.petitiononline.com/XD10mm/petition.html http://www.petitiononline.com/MP10mm/petition.html would sure be nice to have another option, other than glock.....
  7. personally id be making some phone calls to somebody to find out what the hold up is and how you can remedy it.
  8. according to the federal ammuniton application program that was posted earlier in this thread, .357mag outperforms the .45acp in both bullet velocity and bullet energy. just wondering if the .357mag has too much penetration, ie, will it completely penetrate a human and cause damage after it exits on the back side?
  9. i have my hunting 20ga. right now but a short barrell 870 in 12 gauge is planned also. but primary use will be from the pistol.
  10. im really just trying to compare the round itself at this point. i already have a XD-45 Service w/ 13+1 capacity. im looking at a smith 686. i REALLY like revolvers and want to get one and i think that .357mag/.38special would be the best platform to get one in. it would be hard to mess up shooting a XD unless you dont grip it correctly. the XD does have over twice the capacity and i do shoot it well. just something about the 686 that is very appealing to me
  11. do you seriously think i would try to sale a .32 revolver as a gangbangers gun? i said street value so someone would not just tell me to go look on gunbroker for a value as i already have. they are staying around $400-450 from what i can tell. i just want to know what people are really willing to buy them for, because gunbroker isnt always completely accurate.
  12. what is the approxiamate street value (private sale) of a good condition S&W Model 31-1 right now?
  13. what would be a better self-defense round, .357mag or .45ACP? i know that they will be in completely different platforms but this is just to compare the round itself. i know that .45 is a larger round but .357 is still sufficient and proven. no this is NOT for concealed carry. it will be for home protection only. likely be in a 5"+ barrell on both platforms. thanks
  14. i'll take that as a compliment:D
  15. absolutely 100% agreed. if you want to see just what a .50cal can do, you need to see this movie(Rambo). both in sniper rifle form and vehicle-mounted machine gun form. shooter was a great movie also i thought even though it isnt new.
