  2. red neck seafood
  3. Funny pics removed. Sorry.
  4. HGTV is the devil spewing out temptations
  5. actually when i asked if he would look at a ruger he didnt know that they(ruger) now have swing out cylinders on their DA revolvers, thought they were still load one at a time like the SA versions
  6. i'll do that. im thinking that the 686 i saw in a gun shop might have been mismarked with it being a model 686 with a price of $686. it was at a good gunshop too that isnt normally overpriced. i'll have to check next time im down there.
  7. to be honest he doesnt have the cash yet, im just looking and doing research for him. i might end getting it for him as a bday present. if me or him had the cash id go for that colt, im sure he wouldnt mind a colt, i mean who wouldnt want one? but i just ordered a rifle (see sig) and that took my gun funds for the time being.
  8. the one i was referring to was actually marked used a 4" 686 marked for $686 at a gun shop
  9. i thought 686s were going for higher than that, like $650-700. 686 would be my first choice for him, if i could find one reasonable
  10. does anybody have a reference source for what the different models are for smith & wesson? in particularly the ones NOT in current production, i can find the current production ones on their website. im looking for my dad a .357 revolver for home defense(medium-large frame) and he doesnt want to spend but about $400 maybe $500 max. and he thought he would have to stay with a ruger or taurus but im trying to get him a used smith
  11. i cant say that ive been to many "gun shops" i usually shop out the of the classifieds. tolivers gun and pawn in manchester is a bit high on some and normal on others. very high on ammo. and then i have to sing praises about HeroGear, good thing they are semi local to me(around 25-30miles away) best gun shop ive been to period even if they didnt have the awesome selection.
  12. if a revolver id say a Ruger GP100 or a Ruger Security Six, i know where there is a security six for $425 btw... if a semi-auto get a Xd-45 Tactical
  13. yea, mine only holds 14+1 also
  14. a pistol grip only shotgun will be very harsh on recoil also a shotgun will be much more unweildly than a pistol
  15. the S&W 686 will probably go over the $500 limit. i also vote for the .357mag revolver or .45 acp semi-auto, preferably a glock or XD as they have the simplest designs
  16. mine(marlin mod. 60) is about 10 years old and it has the last shot hold bolt open or bolt holds open if mag is empty. a friend of mine got a well used one and it did not have this feature
  17. that dale earnhardt glock would be "ok" if they had used the right font for the "3"
  18. nice lookin rifle! a buddy of mine got one and put the tapco stock on it. i really dont like it it looks and feels very cheap kinda like a hi-point carbine
  19. exactly the 10/22 gatlin gun is very appealling for around $400 for the kit plus two 10/22 actions
  20. the bushmaster predator looks very nice IMO. ive been casually looking at them for the past few months
