  1. yea, 2 guys living together then all of a sudden you throw a woman in there that is determined to argue with them then throw in her period and "emotions" and it had to get interesting after a while
  2. yea, i thought they did get a kinda stereotypical person that would own a gun or be a gun nut in a rural area. at least he did everything right and was safe about it and had credible arguments
  3. if you watch it he did, the man that shot the guy who busted down the back wearing a bullet proof vest and shot at his wife and 4 children. didnt kill the guy but did shoot him and he stopped the attack
  4. i liked it. it showed that you can change some minds a little bit if they are forced to listen to you. at the very least it exposed her to a different kind of living she was definetely hot.
  5. how does it compare to the .45/70? the single shot .45/70 was, to me, fun to shoot.
  6. i would LOVE it if someone rechambered the marlin 1895 for the .500mag.
  7. ah, yes forgot about the BFR. heck any kind of repeating rifle would be nice.
  8. does anybody know of any guns chambering the .500mag? the only ones i know of are the S&W and taurus revolvers and H&R makes a single shot rifle. maybe a lever action or even a bolt action. a semi auto would be a dream.
  9. lol, guess thats one way to keep them honest
  10. well my instructor said he was using one that is one size larger than regular. looked close to my life size(6'4" 200 lbs.) but he said it was larger than normal.
  11. i dont know what kind they are but i really liked the factory sights on my XDM, if only they were night sights. is there anything like that available for 1911s?
  12. umm wow. aside from the fact that he is a LEO, with driving that, i wouldnt want to have to share the road with him for fear of my safety
  13. thanks for the heads up. i take it if i were to keep this that i would need to have a new dovetail cut in(if possible) in order to use the majority of sights

    new 1911

finally figured out how to take a pic and get it off my phone. thanks to the guys at hero-gear for hooking me up again. Springfield Armory GI Model 1911-A1, its my first 1911, but i really like it. sights are awful, but i pretty much knew that before i left the shop. doesnt seem to want to feed JHP very well.
  15. its a springfield GI 1911, figured it'd be better than some of them with tighter tolerances about taking abuse. im not doing it much but not being able to shoot it living in town, just making sure everything functions right, just dont want to mess anything up.
  16. correct, and the target is a torso that is larger than life size, with a border around it. awfully hard to miss it
  17. does it hurt to dry fire a 1911? thanks
  18. smith and wesson also has lifetime warranty
  19. also, dont know where your budget sits at but third-generation S&W semi-autos are a great value used
