  1. when you go to look at a certain model, go to crutchfield and read the reviews for that certain model.
  2. Big thing is though, what is your price range?
  3. I tend to stay away from Dual and Jensen, some say they are fine but I like to stay with a proven product name (pioneer, sony, alpine, kenwood, clarion, etc.). I personally compare them to a saturday night special gun. Might work just fine, or might not. a factory refurbished might be a better deal
  4. Crutchfield: LCD TV, Car Stereo, Home Theater, Speakers, Plasma TV is a great site
  5. Thanks for the heads up about this. I know not to patronize them with that many bad reviews.
  6. I want an XD-45 simply because it fits my hand like it was made for it. I have tried a 1911 and while it feels good in the hand, its not "perfect". And I really like the 13+1 or 10+1 .45acp capacity, depending on model. Heck if I knew without a doubt it made a difference, I would use Cali-spec mags.
  7. Who are you referring to? SJ? I went and saw it last night. Pitt's accent was hilarious at times. Guess thats a Italian Southerner for ya. Good to see Tennessee get mentioned
  8. I see all the time, even professional operators, carrying full-blown custom 1911s for defensive purposes, many as civilians as every day concealed carry. Yet, when someone mentions modifying a Glock or XD or similar beyond sights they cry about liability issues etc. So what is the difference between a single action 1911 with a 3.5-4lb. trigger and everything tighter than god knows what, and a Glock or XD or any other production pistol for that matter, with say a 4.5-5lb. trigger and upgraded internal parts? Just curious as I would love to have a custom XD to use for concealed carry, but dont want my weapon of choice or its modfications done by a professional pistolsmith (Robar) to come into question were I forced to use it.
  9. excessive mulit-quoting annoys me
  10. While I do agree, its still not a semi-auto.

    USGO

look at AR-15.com, thats a very busy national site
  12. They werent made for very long and are now kinda collectors. Not sure if there were different versions but from what I read, their claim to fame was their ability to interchange barrels. You could get a 4, 6, 8 inch barrels maybe even a 2" I dont know.
  13. I dont know where prics sit at, but I'd say a Remington 1100 or 11-87 or a Beretta or Browning would serve you well.

    USGO

Been up awhile now, but I just never go over there. no reaosn to with TGO as active as it is. I did try to go over there a couple weeks ago when TGO was down but so was USGO, guess its on the same server or whatnot.
  15. no, you did excellent! beautiful firearm!
  16. what is this supposed to be about? this is the first ive heard about it
  17. do you hunt? id say out of the ones listed id keep the 10/22, AR, mauser, mosin, rossi pair is the mac 11 semi or full auto?
  18. You wanted constructive suggestions so... It needs a photo gallery of the inside of the venue, when available. I hate to say it but the map looks like at least part of it was made on MS Paint. It might look better to just put up a zoomed out Mapquest map with the address as a point of interest.
  19. I know David can do it. I have seen it happen.
  20. Sole is fine, Its the upper I had a problem with. I can get the Survivors to last me about 1.5 seasons working construction before the upper and sole start to separate from each other. Brahma's (sp?) barely last a whole season. I wear normal boots half the year and insulated boots the other half is why its "seasons".
  21. Hero-Gear, not sure if you would consider that local or not. They have 5.11 boots down there and some would fit the bill for riding boots. On the other hand, when I was trying to learn to ride, I used some Survivor boots from Walmart, about $50-60 and were a quality boot.
