I vote for the S&W out of the ones you listed. The Ruger feels cheap to me and the SIG is a mix of AR and AK if its like the SIG556, not my cup of tea. The Colt is nice too though. I would suggest getting a 10/22 though and modifying it though. You can either go to a sniper/precision rifle or a Ar-style carbine or anything else.

if the parts you use to make it full-auto( full auto sear, etc.) are pre-86, that is acceptable, im pretty sure. someone correct me if im wrong

like aforementioned, either a cellphone holster or a multi-tool pouch works great. o you could just stick it in one of your pockets like your weakside back pocket.

also you can buy a handgun FTF at 18. you only have to be 21 if you are buying from a gun dealer. FTF transactions on ammo have no restictions, age or otherwise basically sell to anybody you want as long as they are TN resident and not a convicted felon.
