  1. and an ISP is NOT hack-proof. it was easier when it was a static IP address, but there are programs to track a "bouncing" IP
  2. there are people that dont need the ISP to give them this info... hope everything works out. as far as the main boss not knowing what the local boss was doing, its a case of the local boss has sympathy and can connect with the people who are employed and the main boss just sees you as a number.
  3. I have one, a 3" officers frame. my current carry gun. works for me. wont find many new ones though as Charles Daly just went bankrupt.
  4. maybe the beretta PX4 storm subcompact?
  5. how are you going to get the deep blued finish?
  6. Sneakers is good if its what im thinkin of with Robert Redford. Just got through watching Public Enemies and Gamer. 1st was good but Gamer was only so-so.
  7. most of what I shot has been break action shotguns but I shot a .45/70 break action and it was tons of fun. where are the remington break actions, I dont see them on their site anywhere
  8. the wooden hogue grips and specifically the deep high gloss blued finish
  9. I would guess that its either 1. they just dont shoot much period or 2. they have several guns and have 1 or 2 that they shoot the finish off of and then some and just occassionally shoot their others.
  10. ----- Gun Fight Rules Clint Smith, Director of Thunder Ranch, is part-time Drill Instructor in Fort Worth Texas , and part stand up comic. Here are a few of his observations on tactics, firearms, self defense and life as we know it in the Civilized world. "The handgun would not be my choice of weapon if I knew I was going to a fight. .... I'd choose a rifle, a shotgun, an RPG or an atomic bomb instead." The two most important rules in a gunfight are: 1. Always cheat 2. Always win "Every time I teach a class, I discover I don't know something." "Don't forget, incoming fire has the right of way." "Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets. I may get killed with my own gun, but he's gonna have to beat me to death with it, cause it's going to be empty." "If you're not shootin', you should be loadin'. If you're not loadin, you should be movin', if you're not movin', someone's gonna cut your head off and put it on a stick." "When you reload in low light encounters, don't put your flashlight in your back pocket... If you light yourself up, you'll look like an angel or the tooth fairy... and you're gonna be one of 'em pretty soon." "Do something. It may be wrong, but do something." "Nothing adds a little class to a sniper course like a babe in a Ghilliesuit." "Shoot with what's available, as long as it's available, until something else better becomes available." "If you carry a gun, people will call you paranoid. That's ridiculous. If I have a gun, what in the hell do I have to be paranoid about." "Don't shoot fast, shoot good." "You can say 'stop' or 'alto' or use any other word you think will work but I've found that a large bore muzzle pointed at someone's head is pretty much a universal language." "You have the rest of your life to solve your problems. How long you live depends on how well you solve 'em." "You cannot save the planet. But.... You may be able to save yourself and your family." "Thunder Ranch will be here as long as you'll have us or until someone makes us go away, and either way... it will be exciting." Excellent Gun Wisdom..... There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental. 1. Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, He'll just kill you. 2. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics are wrong. 3. I carry a gun 'cause a cop is too heavy. 4. When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away. 5. A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the .45 caliber Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him 'Why do you carry a 45?' The Ranger, Zeno Smith, responded, 'Because they don't make a 46.' 6. An armed man will kill an unarmed man with monotonous regularity. 7. An old sheriff was attending an awards dinner when a lady commented on his wearing his sidearm. 'Sheriff, I see you have your pistol. Are you expecting trouble?' 'No ma'am. If I were expecting trouble I would have brought my rifle.' 8. Beware the man who only has one gun. He probably knows how to use it! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 'The true Soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because He loves what is behind him.' -G. K. Chesterton 'Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not.' -Thomas Jefferson "A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy." --Samuel Adams got that in an email, some of it I have seen before, but its still worth passing on
  11. someone does make better sights that fit in the GI slide now. also you can have the slide cut for all other kinds
  12. when I saw the title first thing I thought was Springfield GI or Mil-Spec, either one will suit you well, although I would change the sights to some better ones, but other than that you are good to go for about $500
  13. review from SHOT shows where GemTech already has a stainless steel suppressor developed for it and is working on an aluminum one for it.

The idea is good but I dont want the hot gases and possibly fire( really hot .45s) coming out onto my forearm and just a few inches from the face.
  18. I think the big allure for the polymer frame, aside from being new and tacticool, is that the polymer frame soaks up some of the recoil, not that it weighs a tiny bit less. All reports I have heard are that the Ruger LCR has less perceived recoil than a comparable AirWeight S&W J-frame. Personally though, I cant stand the looks of them, the new S&W isnt too bad but its still too weird looking for me.
  19. I personally would.
  20. if he was shooting people, I would def. stop him, but not if he just showed it to the cashier and demanded money
  21. yes, definetely top off the mag after chambering one from the magazine
  22. You will probably find that most would not talk about it on the internet for everyone to read, even if they were in one. but generally speaking they are extreme survivalists
  23. I absolutely do not carry for anyone but ME. I am not a shepherd, nor a hero, nor a LEO, nor a soldier in battle. Its about self-preservation. I will protect myself and/or any close family or friends(and im not one to use the word friend loosely). Everyone else has the same right/privelege(sp?) as I do to go through the proper channels to get their permit and carry a gun to protect themselves, not my responsibility. I cant say that even if I did have my gun on me that I would stop, for example, a robbery in progress, if I wasnt in danger myself.

are you sure it was the gun not the shooter?
