  1. thanks, good info
  2. just uncomfortable. the grip prints too bad also
  3. .50GI 275JHP 890fps .50AE 300HP 1550fps .45gap 230FMJ 850fps .45acp 230FMJ 875fps
  4. .45acp or gap? .50GI or AE?
  5. It was stupid to start with. It never took off or gained enough popularity to do anything. To get .45GAP, you take the slowest centerfire pistol cartridge and make it even slower to perform worse in every aspect just so it will fit a gun frame you already have instead of taking a proven cartridge a redesigning a gun to make it more ergonomic.
  6. Id be going WOT as soon as I could.
  7. Im actually thinking about a Kahr PM45, I should be able to pocket that I think.
  8. guess im stuck with a pocket gun in the summer then
  9. I need some help/suggestions with summer carry. In the winter I could use either a shoulder holster or OWB, concealed, but that doesnt work for me in the summer. IWB just does not work for me(6'4", 185lbs), maybe if I were to try with a pocket gun but what's the need then? What carry methods are there besides OWB, IWB, shoulder holsters, and pockets(I dont do cargo pockets either)? I really dont like a pocket gun for a primary because I want at least 6(6+1 in auto) rounds and in a larger/powerful caliber. Either .357mag+ in revolvers or in auto, .45acp, 10mm, .357sig, or larger. I really dont care if I print as much as being at least semi-comfortable. I have seen the holster shirts and they are too slow to draw IMO. I currently have a Ruger Police Service Six, short grip with 2 3/4" barrel, and need a holster. Trying to decide if I get a good winter carry one and get a different summer gun or try to make it work year round
  10. just a heads up, I have run across people that are as bad about saying in a SUPPRESSOR not a SILENCER as most on here are about calling it a mag instead of a clip. I know its a BIG jump in cost, have you looked at the HK Mark 23 SOCOM?
  11. If it is at current market value, I have absolutely no problem buying it from someone else, unless I suspect that they have replaced what came in it with their own reloads.
  12. pretty quick from what I understand but Ive never had a .22 upper for an AR
  13. I would have an AR with a .22LR upper and .223Rem upper or most likely in this area an 870 and a .22LR pistol edit: I meant to put a 6.8SPC upper, little better margin of error on deer and could take larger animals
  14. I would and do clear the house no doubt. Not gonna be a sitting duck
  15. exactly, IF the 5 were diverse enough to cover most plausible scenarios, I would much rather have the 5 valuable tools instead of the 30 not-so-valuable tools.
  16. It's a man toy.

    Impact power

  18. I tend to abuse my tools so maybe thats why. However, a real heavy-duty knife is much more than a simple cutting implement. It can be used for many things, almost as many as a multi-tool, if you know how to use it. My knife isnt ruined, a little dull and scratched, but not ruined. If I weren't in construction, I'd never be this hard on my knife or have a reason to.
  19. do not get a red dot from NC Star, they are extremely low-quality, cheaply made, very unclear and fuzzy.
  20. carrry a CD subcompact 1911, surefire backup, wallet, keys, phone, and a blackhawk folding knife (approx. 3.5" blade)(impulse buy). you guys must not use your knives much because my blade looks like hell compared to the ones ive seen pictured, but I use my knife for everything, cutting, prying, for a flathead screwdriver, to deburr soft metal pipes, stab and make holes, you name it I have done it.

    Impact power

not sure what you mean by impact power but the .44mag obliterates the .45acp in EVERYTHING but controllability. more recoil, more pressure, higher velocity, heavier bullets are available, more energy delivered to target.
  22. id get the .40 IMO
  23. the quote about stuffing a GM LS1 in it
  24. I have heard of custom holster makers making holsters to fit guns with lights but not light/lasers like the surefire x400 or similar
  25. you may have a questionable screen name, but I like your style! how'd ya like to pull in the dealer with that?
