  1. 87 GMC long bed truck, 305/auto, topped it out to about 90-100 several times, only registered 85
  2. That doesnt make it junk all of a sudden though. The Toyota FJ has been out of production for a while now.(not including the little toy FJ Cruiser)
  3. wow, that list is SERIOUSLY flawed. where is the Hummer H1, Toyota FJ, Chevy Blazer, Jeep CJ5, Ford Bronco, International Scout, Land Rover, Willys, Chevy Suburban, etc. Honda CRV, Toyota Rav4, Lexus, Subaru(not a SUV) do NOT belong on that list
  4. the Trading Post here on TGO works pretty dang good FWIW
  5. If its deer, id suggest a Remington 700 bolt action is your choice of caliber, .223 up to .30-06. Or a Marlin 336 in 30/30
  6. for hunting you normally use a soft-point instead of FMJ or JHP(jacketed hollow point), for the mushrooming effect, the JHP does too much damage and destroys too much of the animal. I dont know if you are saying that you think that a .45 will still go all the way through with a JHP or if it wont make it past the outer layer, but remember the .45ACP is the slowest, widely used semi-auto pistol cartridge(except .380ACP), only travelling at 850fps(normal pressure) normally, where as a 9mm or .40 is moving a good bit faster, and .357sig and 10mm are even faster. IMHO, a .45ACP JHP +P is the best self-defense cartridge in a pistol available, approx. 950-1050 fps .45 caliber, 230gr. JHP projectile, will make a man think twice. Most times a .45 wont go through an assailant, most JHPs period wont. I dont know where to even start looking on here, but someone posted up a link to a survelliance video in a police precinct, where a suspect wasnt padded down and while he was waiting to be interrogated, pulled out a 1911 in .45 and shot himself in the head, point blank. The bullet didnt exit the other side, and I doubt a guy like that had JHP loaded in it.
  7. dont know how much a new factory recoil spring would be, but if you really like the gun, it might be worth trying a new spring in case something is wrong with that one
  8. seriously, do you notice any binding in the spring?
  9. forgot about the night guards
  10. dont know of that one, but there is an 8-shot scandium frame 357, the 327PD
  11. good thing he didnt get ahold of a Desert Eagle
  12. maybe an airsoft version of the pistol would be easier to rack the slide on:shrug:
  13. revealed at SHOT 2010, S&W Bodyguard 38 http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CustomContentDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=11101&content=754501
  14. same here man or a Dan Wesson. My personal opinion is these things need SERIOUS help in the asethetics department, dont know what it is but they are fugly and dont look right.

    Marlin 1894C

when I get extra cash I am gonna try to find one with the pistol grip stock, they did make them at least for a few years, and they are much more ergonomic for me
  16. I would reccommend a S&W Airweight, not polymer like the cool kids but just as light.
  17. excellent, a bit smoother is how I would describe it. Used to have a XDM-9, myself.
  18. confirmation 2010 SHOT Show :: Guns Holsters and Gear 5th article down. page 5 also mentioned high probability of a Ruger SR40
  19. My internet is acting up right now, but this is one I found, not really confirmed though. XDM .45? - Sniper's Hide Forums
