  1. The SBR rule was for back when pistols werent very powerful and outlaws sawed off rifle barrels to have a powerful concealable gun. The rule/tax stamp really has no place now and is almost exclusively for revenue generation. The SBR rule at least should have been repealed a while ago.

    gun comparison

The XD has the same grip angle as a 1911 so you would probably like it. I personally love it. I really like the S&W M&P series also, nice weapons and MADE IN THE USA. cant comment on the others, might look at Sig and HK though.
  3. I shot mine with an XDM-9 (19round mags) but we were only allowed to load up either 5 or 10 rounds per mag and I only had 3 mags with me so I had to reload mags a few times.
  4. ok, that probably came out wrong. but they arent for me and most normal people cant afford them either.
  5. they can keep them in Europe, I have absolutely no use for them. :flame suit on:
  6. I usually tend to read Guns & Ammo in the store but dont really see many others that interest me.
  7. this is just my personal opinion only. the tundra is so heavy it needs that power just to get rolling, what does it run, a 15-16sec.+ 1/4mile? I think everybody can agree that the Tacoma X-runner would be a great truck IF it had more HP. under 200hp is nothing to brag about. the tacoma and 4runner arent exactly performance oriented or capable. The FJ should have gotten the V8 but it seems to me it was made more for people looking for the image than its ability to perform. domestic V6s suck for the most part. no denying that. the ford 5.4 is in such a heavy truck and ti cant rev very high and is just an inefficeint design. Ford sucks just as bad when it comes to performance. If only every engine was as efficient as the LSx family of engines from GM. Ferrari, Lambo, and Porsche have their place, on the other side of the world.
  8. the guy that is coming to get them
  9. after reading further, a variant 1 will probably be ok because my thumb doesnt ride the safety when shooting 1911s.
  10. FFL is required to keep records for 5 years I believe, not certain on the time frame though. The government is the one that isnt supposed to keep records.
  11. A good start is either a .357 double action revolver such as a S&W model 686 or a pistol like a Glock, Springfield XD, S&W M&P, HK USP, Ruger SR-9, etc. base 1911 would be a good start also. Many quality options out there really only limited by your budget. It might not come to you immediately but after owning one or two guns you will pick up one and it just fits like it was custom made to fit your hand. It just feels right. For many it is a 1911, others a Glock, or a multiple of almost anything. Hold as many as you can and shoot as many as you can to find out what fits you.

and unless you dont have time or have extra money, that would be fairly simple to do yourself.
  14. some do, had one guy claim he could do a dime at 1000yards with .50BMG
  15. nice way of saying "Leave us out of it."
  16. Firearm registration does not exist in the State of TN.
  17. maybe there was something wrong with it then. I remember it though because it was a nightstand gun and in order for it to be in SA mode, it had to be cocked and unlocked. If I cocked it manually and then moved the safety lever to S, it decocked it.
  18. doesnt the safety lever drop the hammer to decock it when moved to S. therefore, how would you carry it cocked and locked if it has a decocker? thats how the USP40 I had a while back was Beretta 96FS was the same way
  19. I would be changing to variant 9. Just wondering if I have to find a variant 9 or if I can use any USP I found.
  20. can it be changed from one variant to another?
  21. Straight Shooter, take a couple the "oops, double tap" means that the forum software posted his exact response twice in a row. You know like double tapping the "post quick reply" button seriously calm the frick down.
  22. Could someone explain the H&K USP pistol trigger versions to me? I know the LEM is their DAO trigger but other than that I have no clue. Is it possible to get one capable of cocked and locked, no decocker? Thanks
