  1. actually it is not registered to him as there is no gun registeration in TN. ATF could trace it to him if necessary by requesting to see the FFL records from the dealer. You dont need any paperwork on it, but it is advised by some. I personally see no reason for it.
  2. Thanks, guess I should have googled it. figured it was an industry acronym though.
  3. I had to provide a copy of my birth certificate and just used a photocopy. I had gotten my DL about 3 years earlier and they had my birth certificate on file already. They want it again.
  4. first off, I know someone is going to say it, but a "true assault rifle" according to some is select-fire. you should call it a homeland defense rifle might look at the Kel-Tec RFB its a bullpup .308, otherwise I would go with a FS2000 or PS90. also keep in mind that the triggers on most bullpups are not the best by a long shot.
  5. which version is the MC Operator then?
  6. umm, excuse my ignorance but what is the "MC" Operator from Springfield? I see the Operator and the TRP but dont know what the "MC" Operator is?

    Benefactor?

lots of perks! plus you get to give back for all the great info you get here.
  8. is it on DVD yet? I missed it in theatre in my area, really wanted to see it though.
  9. repost its in the newsworthy reports section
  10. It would be quite expensive unless there is another way to do it other than what I am thinking (new radio frequency switches) but it is a thought.
  11. hmmm, reminds me of a tiger striped desert eagle...
  12. possibly wire an alarm system to instead of sound a loud alarm when the perimeter is breached, to immediately, simultaneously turn on every light in the house, possibly pulsing?
  13. I agree fully. as for me, in the immediate time, I would try to cache most of mine in a remote location except for a few personal defense arms and would hide them in a quickly accessible location. I wouldnt give up any. I have a feeling that in the following months and years that I would end up being a "gun runner" instead of todays "drug runners"
  14. the only way it would work is if you had a group of members that were single and trusted each other. then you give everybody a key to the others house and say in a 1 month period one or two of them invades the others house at night, completely unexpected. thats the only way to be realistic and its not very smart either.
  15. I live here in Manchester and I advise against going to the festival but I know you wont change your opinion because of some guy on the net. best bet is to get a safe deposit box at a bank, temporarily if possible. for handguns. if you are bringing a long gun, I dont know what to tell you. the only closest gun shops that I would trust with my guns are Hero-Gear in Winchester or Outpost Armory in Christiana. and neither have a range in the immediate area.
  16. my first pick would be Springfield Operator, then Colt Rail Gun, S&W Tactical Rail Series.
  17. NO not at all, just wondering how much complaining we will have to put up with from all the old farts that dont like change... I have heard of some people that like it and some that dont, but I really like it.
  18. Anybody have any experience with Vbulletin 4? How do you like it? As I'm sure most of you know TGO will be going to v4 soon. (per David's announcement) I have been over at Tennesspeed that already has v4 and it does take a little getting used to but i really like. Does anybody else get on any other forums using vbulletin 4 yet? I fso how do you like it?
  19. go Dan Wesson or Springfield IMO
  20. AMEN! I think of it as if you were a guest at someone's house. Their house their rules, you arent in the public anymore.
  21. If it makes sense financially, I would suggest a Springfield Socom 16. Its a M1A, so it should be fairly familiar in reference to the M14. If not Id suggest a AR-15 chambered in 5.56NATO
  22. very nice! especially like they stealthy black IC
  23. beautiful gun hunting101.
  24. excellent read! although you can get most of the information, aside from the history lesson, from the conclusion.
