  1. id love to have one, great idea IMO.
  2. why do I shudder when I see this pic and think about the thread on the savage muzzleloader? I'll pass.
  3. Ed Brown IMO, with the TRP in second.
  4. honestly I always look to see if they quoted TCA law or not. if not, not legal. if so its a legal sign. never seen a legal sign though.
  5. did you read the rest of my post?? what else is off limits? EDIT: maybe I should reword that one, you can carry anywhere IF they dont have a correct sign up. except where alcohol is sold for consumption on site. then continue with the rest of the post.
  6. correct. I believe though that it was at least highly suggested if not mandatory that you hide it for example in the console or glove box before entering property, and not have it on your person or visible. not sure on that one as it will be a LONG time before I will personally run into that one.
  7. you can carry anywhere except where alcohol is sold for consumption on site. IF they dont have a correct sign up. also cant carry in federal buildings, courthouses, or school property. however, if they ask you to leave, you must leave or you can be charged with trespassing. and there are some people that believe concealed is concealed...
  8. those are nice. what grade are you getting?
  9. I never say a word. I only disarm if explicitly says so in the laws (schools, federal buildings) or if they happen to have a LEGAL sign.
  10. with the current technology and weapons systems available, most should be armed with a 6.8 with one guy per unit having a 7.62nato ar10 with a scope on it for far away sniping.
  11. It doesnt sound right. They said the explosives were PARTIALLY buired. if you go to the trouble to bury explosives, you finish the job. something isnt right about it.
  12. my bad, wrong words. I meant a loaded gun in you vehicle is illegal even if you're on your way to hunting.
  13. Ive been looking REAL hard at the new HK45
  14. I havent heard of anybody(I know its done) shooting 7.62x39mm in an accurate rifle, but 7.62x39 starts dropping pretty fast after 200-250 yards IIRC.
  15. I heard of a few reports that they are reissuing the ones that they have to select units. (note that heard of a few reports is third-hand, and on the internet no less, that means its worth exactly what you paid for it)
  16. very nice!
  17. If you have a HCP, you can have your handgun loaded and chambered, but you long gun can be loaded but not chambered. If you do NOT have your HCP, firearms and ammo cannot be in immediate vicinity of each other, magazines cannot be loaded, for example, gun and empty mags in trunk and ammo in passenger compartment. If you dont have your HCP a loaded gun is not legal off your property no matter what. even hunting.
  18. you can shoot a deer with .308, 6.8SPC or .223, its all legal, dont know the point he was trying to make there. the paper said that 7.62NATO would be the perfect combat round IF and a big IF they only needed semi-auto fire. 7.62nato has too much recoil to have a controllable full-auto even in the heavy M14, much less an AR-10 or similar. and the 6.8spc is the perfect compromise between knockdown power and controllability. same trajectory as 7.62nato. the paper said that the ideal combat round is between 6.5 and 7mm. 6.5grendel on bottom end has better accuracy than a heavier round but less mass and therefore less knockdown power. 6.8 is a great compromise if you are staying with the AR platform. they mentioned a 7mm wildcat but it required a different weapon system.
  19. LOTS better but still has a goth-theme going on. maybe if you go natural on the lips and blonde or medium brown hair might work. anyways the girlfriend doesnt even compare to Sandra IMHO.
  20. if there was ever a case where a pistol whipping was justified...
  21. that pic makes me cringe. looks like his claws are really dug into the barrel
  22. RIP Mars! I miss his posts too, always had a great wealth of info!
  23. P-mags (pick your flavor, windowed or window-less and choice of colors) or HK mags but HK mags are about $40 apiece and P-mags are about $18 each.
  24. I remember and it was F'ed up. Some things you just dont do.
  25. Jewish gun dealer in East Nashville that took a particular fondness to pissing off David in multiple ways. Had a complete disregard for the forum's administrators and moderators. Broke code of conduct rules on multiple occasions even after MANY warnings. Got into a public pissing match with Joe@Hero-Gear and afterwards Joe made a public apology and Rabbi refused to. he was quite arrogant IMO, I never liked him mods: if this is too much info on a buried subject, I apologize and I know it will be edited if so.
