  1. My rule of thumb is carry the largest caliber gun that you can shoot with combat accuracy and can conceal with your attire. That may be a .50GI 5" 1911, or it may be a LCP in .380. (I would never have my primary be less than .380ACP or .38spl) Try out different guns to see what fits your hand and what you can shoot accurately. I carry a 3.5" officers frame 1911 in .45acp.
  2. The AA-12 has a recoil system similar to the KRISS submachine gun, straight back with relatively little felt in the shoulder. Be realistic about it, why would a full auto 12ga. shotgun even be practical? isnt 1-2 rounds PLENTY? Im not saying its pointless, be I cant see where it would be the more useful than a typical semi-auto shotgun or a M4 or AK-47. If 1-2 rounds doesnt take care of the threat, you need a larger round. Now I could see the usefulness of the AA-12 in semi-auto or 2-3 round burst because of the ability to keep on target easier because of minimal muzzle rise.
  3. Id say stick with one type, JHP(jacketed hollow point). If you dont want to overpenetrate, go with a .40 or .45
  4. This is creating an absolute nightmare of traffic in Manchester. Its on par with the traffic problems for the 2nd or 3rd year or Bonnaroo.
  5. If anybody has seen the movie "Repo Men", that is what this reminds me of.
  6. go for it, its a VERY fun gun to shoot.
  7. I really wish Colt would start making their double actions again. I'd love a Colt DA but they have no collector value to me, so therefore I believe they are too expensive for what they are.
  8. Chip McCormick mags have always been 100% for me too.
  9. the target is LARGER than life sized by the way and as long as you hit the black its a hit
  10. I heard Arnold AFB has them in stock, go pick it up:)
  11. yea they are pricey but i bet street price would be considerably less, though i dont know how much. is it just me or do most people not like the curved buttplate?
  12. was looking over the Winchester website and found this 1892 Trapper Takedown, -- Winchester Repeating Arms -- Product Model Model 1892 Trapper Takedown takedown lever action chambered in .357mag, .44mag or .45colt 16" barrel with full-length mag tube pistol grip stock instead of straight stock IMO, cut the end of the stock off just enough to get a flat end on it , add a buttpad to it and you have a perfect lever action carbine. and with it being a takedown version, you could stow it easily in a BOB. its a better option than trying to find a marlin 1894
  13. i say if you have more than 2 guns, get a safe. also, think, if you go out of town on vacation or a trip, do you leave your guns out? Id like to have a place to lock all of them up in that instance.
  14. from personal experience, if it doesnt go past ex parte status it doesnt even show up or if it does, it isnt enough reason to not issue a permit for the first time. but yours went past that so Im not sure on that. I would suggest hiring a lawyer though.
  15. pretty dang close unless Im mistaken that the xdm45 will be really close to the same size as the xdm9:shrug:
  16. tell that to the guys carrying xdm9s
  17. the extra round in the mag will be nice but the big things for me are the better sights (IMO), match grade barrel, better grip texture, replaceable backstraps, little better feeling trigger (IMO), and they just look alot cooler. I had an XDM-9 but just couldnt get use to such a small caliber in a fullsize gun, when I didnt have a .45 anymore.
  18. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handguns/35678-confirmed-xdm-45-a.html glad its finally here heard its supposed to be 14+1 capacity. fine by me wonder why they have 4.5 on the slide where they didnt for the 9 and 40 versions?
  19. being lied to thieves ya know, come to think of it, just people in general. I find myself avoiding interaction with people more and more these days.
  20. nice job i like that look on the regular XDs adamween, that XDM is gorgeous!
  21. from the pics, I really like this for what it is, a utilitarian pistol, a tool.
  22. I was thinking of something else when I saw the "minigun" title.
  23. and would your time spent with the "trash" qualify for community service?
