  1. I think that's the squarest 1911 I've ever seen lol looks cool
  2. Oh how I wish you a little closer to me! Probably wouldn't be worth a 3hr drive though
  3. Yes a few nice 1911s should be sufficient treatment, lol
  4. In that case I'd go with the glock probably go with a full size mag though
  5. Curious as to why you are looking at a compact/subcompact gun for nightstand duty and not carrying? I would look at a g21sf or a springer gi full size
  6. There is a special place in hell for these people
  7. I haven't done it but I did draw up floor plans for it, however this was designed for a single man. I drew plans for a 50' x 50' shop with an upstairs apartment over one half of it
  8. They can't import the 380 because it doesn't meet ATF regulations
  9. Does having a pistol grip/shoulder stock matter? if so that narrows the options. I really like the remington 1187 police because I wanted hi cap and pistol grip stock. Wanting hi cap knocks out the benelli m4
  10. Na, that would make too much sense, lol
  11. plus it doesnt have the criteria to be imported without modifications.
  12. It hasnt been covered in this thread but a 30/30 is not a 300yd rifle. I suppose it may be possible but it would probably be close to the .45/70 in terms of bullet drop, the bullet trajectory would look like a rainbow. The Handi-Rifle would be perfect for this purpose, provided you make sure you hit it in the right spot first time.

    If you had...

Don't know bout price but I'd add cash if need be for a springfield operator
  14. I'd say a 243 and a heavier rifle will recoil less
  15. S&W released a 14" barrelled .17HMR revolver Kel-Tec released the RMR, carbine version of the PMR-30
  16. wow, cant you people just get along? why would you not want the best available? the 1911 has its strengths and weaknesses just like the HK 45, FNP45, SIG P220, etc. any would be suitable IF they passed torture tests, you like what you are used to no doubt. If I were to need one in a battle situation itd be between the HK45 and the FNP45, would like to have the ergos of the hk and the capacity of the fn but we never get the perfect gun.
  17. The only that is holding me back on picking one up over an 870 police is lack of a recoil reducing stock option on the aftermarket
  18. I'm interested to see who wins or if there are any other participants. Wonder if colt will sell the milspec version to civilians?
  19. If its bring back a gun itd be a colt m16 from when they cost the same as a ar15. If its take one to history, probably be a suppressed barrett .50 and you could change almost any important time in history Or maybe take a m14 back to about 1890 and have someone mass produce them, talk about changing the old west
  20. I vote for dropping a .458 socom upper on it with a eotech and magpul ubr stock
  21. it isnt legal to use it according to NEC. if you are installing the rough-in wiring in a new construction house and the roof isnt dried in yet and it rains and the water is coming in some inspectors will make you tear out the wiring and use new dry wire. If it were UF-rated wire it would have been ok but if it does indeed have the paper inside it isnt legal to use and I personally wouldnt use it as the paper mostlikely had degraded
