  1. Needs smaller wheels otherwise looks awesome
  2. It fires one round at a time with a kind of ratcheting firing mechanism. Supposed to be very light compared to other. 45s
  3. This was happening on an officers frame 1911 that i had for a very short time (short enough i never shot or carried it only kept as a nightstand gun). I experienced bullet setback on both 230gr. Fmj and 185gr. Jhp. Never figured out a fix just attributed it to either the bull barrel or it being a charles daly.
  4. Within arms reach, i would rather have a good sharp fixed blade knife and be trained with it than a pocket gun. And i would rather face an attacker with a pocket gun at arms length than a sharp fixed blade. Go beyond arms length and the firearm prevails due to range. Weight and overall physical condition would determine how effective one would be with a "pointy stick"
  5. Compare available bullet weights and velocities for each and youll see who wins
  6. The round is ballistically virtually equal to. 327mag
  7. Priceless
  8. I was actually wondering if this would be made after they re-released the sp101 in. 22lr. The sp101 in .22lr is actually useful as a trail gun. The only use i see for this is for leading new shooters to the sport with a .22 and quickly moving them up to centerfire. Maybe for disabled/handicapped/? people who cant handle anything else.
  9. If i were you and it were legal id look at carrying a marlin 1895 guide gun. Id rather be a little uncomfortable on a few hunts than be minced bear chow. But if you insist on a handgun id look real hard at a ruger super redhawk alaskan. But id opt for the. 454 version and carry either really hot (buffalo bore) .45colt or some. 454casull loads.
  10. I know the. 460 is advertised as shooting flat out to 200yards but you have to be a VERY experienced handgun hunter to hit consistently at those ranges. Elmer keith took a mule deer at over 600yards with a SW model29 with 6" barrel. A .44mag will kill at that range if you can hit it.
  11. There is a reason no one mentiones the GAP. It has all but gone away. AFAIK only glock makes pistols chambered for it anymore, and most times if you find them for sale in a gun shop or anywhere else you can get a good deal on them but many people dont want them. Ammo may be available but its nowhere near as available or common as ACP. Performance may match standard pressure ACP but it cant beat .45ACP+P. If it works for you great, just stock up on ammo. I dont think anyone considers it a slap to JMB since there arent any 1911s chanbered in it and gap isnt exactly stealing the market from acp.
  12. Not saying that they have evil intentions but once the government has that information whats to stop them from accessing it during a severe food shortage and confiscating everyones food and redistributing it " for the good of the people"
  13. The barret wasnt made because even with the muzzle brake, it was determined that the recoil was beyond the threshold of pain for a human
  14. From what ive read the 460 isnt too accurate with. 45colts, the bullet has to jump too far from the cylinder to the barrell. Personally. 44 mag or buffalo bore/handloaded. 45colt is good for most around here and carries on the hip pretty easy. If you need or want more I would suggest getting one of the. 50 calibers. Either. 500sw .500linebaugh or. 500 wyoming express. Personally id rather practice with a .44mag and be able to shoot like elmer keith than be an amateur with a .500 that rarely shoots his gun.
  15. What if you had a major malfunction like a double charge of powder? Do you really want the cylinder mere inchs from your face when it grenades? This wasnt an issue with older revolvong rifles as they were chambered for blackpowder cartridges and couldnt be double charged and didnt operate at the pressures that modern. 45colt does. .410shotgun shells do not concern me in this instance
  16. I would think a larger caliber heavier bullet would dump most of its energy in the target and have little if any left to go. Completely through.
  17. I was out of 4g and 3g yesterday. Had to hard reset my phone after pulling the sim card out to reset it. Verizon said that 4g was down yesterday
  18. I DID have to replace my droid bionic ( phone froze and would not come back on not just browser) not long after adding a tgo bookmark...
  19. Do everybody else really feel that comfortable having the hot gases from the cylinder RIGHT IN YOUR FACE ( with hotter loads in the .45colt) That is the only thing that turns me off about it
  20. If you want real world skills try cowboy action shooting lol

    .300 BLK?

I really want to get excited about this but there are now more than a couple. 30cal ARs out there and everyone says theirs is the best. It would be nice to know who's is going to stick around. So far im aware of the. 300whisper, .300blk, .30RAR, 7.62x40WT, any others? What I really like about the blk is it uses standard AR mags. So you can have 3 calibers that all serve a different purpose (5.56/.223, .300blk, and. 458socom) that use the same mags
  22. This is something id love to be able to do someday but i bet the learning curve on hand fitting the parts is very steep
  23. Kimber cant really be fairly compared to Wilson. They arent in the same price range or quality level. I like the looks of Ed Browns stuff
  24. Exactly what i was thinking
  25. A magnum research bfr custom chambered in. 50alaskan
