    Accuracy?

Yes most times it is from a rest. I think it is more to determine that the handgun itself it very accurate and you know if YOU arent getting good groups from it offhand its the fault of the shooter not the firearm.

For a pocket gun a jframe or any of the pocket 9s will be much better. Although i really like my kahr pm40 that i just picked up for pocket carry

General consensus is that 2 shots isnt enough to feel comfortable carrying. For snakes if wilderness i say its ok or if its a backup to your backup gun. Otherwise there are better options in that size.
  4. If i wanted a fullsized polymer 9mm id buy it. I love the look and bet it feels even better.
  5. Go for the 27. Its a .357 built on a .44 frame ( n frame). Will handle full power. 357 allday long unlike the 19.
  6. I bet they are finally gonna release that new S&W M&P Shield Ive heard so much about. Its gonna be a game changer.
  7. I have wanted a pm9 for a while but lately have been thinking about a pm40. Are they really close in size? Specs on the website are within a tenth of an inch just wondering if anyone has held or carries both. Is the pm40 still small enough to be a true pocket gun?
  8. I personally dont have a desire to buy it but someone might. Seriously, if this thinks actually works and is accurate it will be insanely expensive. Why? Look at the British double rifles and their cost. The reason a field grade double rifle is so expensive is tuning the barrels so the two rounds dont collide midair. Same goes with a double pistol, they will have to tune the barrels so the two rounds dont collide midair. Only way to do that is trial and error and a whole lot of ammo. Also prevents it from being mass produced even if there was a demand for it. Just imagine dual wielding those though! Part of me wants one.
  9. Limited to 10 rounds and cant carry? That says HK45 to me
  10. That is one thing that stuck in my mind from the last ammo shortage, .40sw and .357sig was everywhere 9 and .45 wasn't
  11. For non nfa regulated, basic 16" bbl, miad grip to hold extra of whatever(batteries, spare round, etc), ubr stock, buis, pmags, ergonomic handguards without rails, eotech with quick attach/detach 4x magnifier. Chambered in either 5.56, 6.8, or.300blk. If using a nfa regulated gun, add a suppressor with a 11.5" bbl.
  12. Excellent news! Like i said i hope he does well the closest good gunshop is the outpost armory in Christiana. Last good one we had in the area went downhill after changing hands. Good to hear he is starting to keep some reloading supplies on hand.
  13. Did anybody look at the results so far of the poll? When i voted, over 80% said no. Lol
  14. I know im just sayin. Really nice guy. I did notice that he had a ksg in there, dont know if it was for sale or not.
  15. I dont have a blackout rifle but id think that either some sort of optic with a built in drop reticle (eotech, etc.) or maybe a scope for one and a red dot on one of those 30-45degree angle mounts would work. Would also depend what ranges you shoot at and how much magnification you want. And what purpose it serves whether its just a range gun or something more serious.
  16. He is helpful but has next to nothing as far as in stock selection. Good place if i wanted to order something but has almost no used guns period. I really hope he does well and is able to expand and carry more stock.
  17. Technology changes too fast imo for this to be viable. Id rather have a backup phone or too and know how to swap activation
  18. Is it possible to remove and recut the rear slide serrations on a 1911? The reason I ask is i really like the para p14.45 with light rail, only thing i dont like is the gi sights which i know can be removed and have dovetails cut in, and the vertical rear slide serrations. I dont care for all the extras on the p14.45 tactical. Would it be possible to swap slides with a tactical? Does a standard 1911 slide fit a para or not?
  19. Beautiful, just beautiful. But that horrible ambi safety would have to go.
  20. I had a guy that lived in nyc try to buy a glock i had for sale here on tgo a year or so ago offered an extra $200 if id ship it to brooklyn or meet him in pennsylvania. Im convinced it was entrapment by some gov agency. Needless to say i walked away but it happens on all firearms classified sites
  21. After commenting in the flashlight thread about how i loved my Surefire Backup flashlight, the next day i lost it And after reading how several people were very satisfied with their Streamlights, I thought id give one a try. I picked up a Streamlight ProTac 1L. Very close in size to the Surefire Backup. First off it is much cheaper than a Surefire around $50 compared to around $150. After taking it out of the package, i noticed it is a bit lighter feeling than surefire, not a bad thing necessarily when carrying it all day every day. But it just feels cheap to me, not as solid as a surefire. It comes with a duracell 123 battery. Not my choice but it would be odd for streamlight to ship a light with a surefire battery ( best battery IMO). I noticed that it is rather tough to get it fully seated in my pocket. It goes to a certain point, lacking about 1/2" before bottoming out in the pocket clip. Rather annoying when just trying to slip in my pocket and go. It takes me two hands to get it fully seated, one holding the clip away from the body of the light and another holding the edge of my pocket, not ideal in the least. Next i noticed that on high it is close to the same as surefire in light output on fresh batteries. However it has a strobe feature IN BETWEEN the high and low so i have to cycle through it every time i use it on low which is quite frequently. I have absolutely no use for a strobe feature on this type of light, maybe on one more suited for outdoor/hiking use but not an EDC light. This annoyance to me causes me to just use the light on high more than i normally would. And using this light on high, it burns through a battery in about 5-7 days. That is just waaaayyyy too frequent for battery changes. I could go for probably a month or more with a surefire with the same approxiamate usage. The threads on the talicap feel very soft, like it would be very easy to cross thread it. And if you are able to take the lens cap off to replace the bulb, i havent figured out how yet. It would be ok for someone who carries it alot but doesnt use it much, but i am constantly using it. Maybe I was spoiled by Surefire but i am just not impressed with it. My surefire i had complete confidence in and didnt doubt it at all. This streamlight is another story, i kinda expect it to break soon if i dont quit using it, im very hard on my every day tools. I will be picking up another surefire backup very soon. Paid $100 for my last one, couldnt believe prices had gone up that much. I guess you really do get what you pay for though. Just my experience and my thoughts on it. YMMV
  22. .300blk is still a bottleneck cartridge
