  1. Joe is still on here some. ScreenName is BimmerFreak i believe. Still doing battle mug and i think the HEROGUNS 1911s and Ar15 lowers but not sure. Joe ran an awesome shop when it was his.
  2. In the days when Joe owned and operated it, it was top notch in this area and im told in the state. However, it changed hands, dont remember when, but now the service sucks, If they dont have it in stock they dont seem interested in getting it for you, if you arent MIL/LEO or a buddy/regular dont expect quick service. And they dont recognize TGO anymore. My opinion only of course but its horrible now compared to when Joe ran it. YMMV
  3. In all seriousness i could see them increasing the cost of a tax stamp from 200 to 1000. And then requiring a tax stamp, wait and all for each firearm.
  4. Looks great especially for just using a pocket knife. Anxious to see pics after final finish.
  5. Unfourtunately they have to put up with both.
  6. In that general price range also look at Noveske (already mentioned), LWRC, LMT, Larue. All very high quality manufacturers

    Ported barrel

It would require an extended barrel or get a G21C with a compensated barrel and slide to match. Bear in mind though that a compensated barrel will likely cause night blindness if used in low light conditions.
  8. What do you mean proprietary mags? They use standard AR/STANAG mags. Cant use a PMAG but you can use a EMAG with them.
  9. You can make buildings that by design dont allow cell signal in or out.
  10. I bet it works but is highly illegal. But thats my opinion.
  11. I dont think it should be so specific. I would think a real top five would include the glock 19/23/32, glock 26/27/33, lcp/p3at, j-frame, commander 1911, hk usp, sig 229, maybe the kahr pm series
  12. I count 9 30 round mags. Thats only 270rounds for all that bulk. Id rather just duct tape 3 surefire 100 rounders together and still have more firepower and much less bulk. Or just be a bit more normal and have 1 mag in the gun and the rest on a vest
  13. Its true. Maybe someone should educate them on the history and idea behind the liberator pistol.
  14. Not a comp shooter, actually considering the best platform for a dedicated .45super. The standard xd can handle it in moderation but most reccommend a ported or compensated barrel for a steady diet of it. Was actually looking for maybe a drop in barrel
  15. Got a link? My google-fu fails me once again
  16. One more reason I dont fly commercial airlines.
  17. Does anybody know if a company is making an aftermarket barrel with ports exiting out of the holes in the top of the slide on a XDM-45 5.25 Competition? Or if anybody could port the factory barrel?
  18. @ Patton, no the 1911 was designed to accomodate the .45acp round. I believe you may be thinking of the .38acp in the colt model 1900 and later models and the .38super was developed in late 20s early 30s to combat the lack of power in the .38 special and the need to penetrate the new automobile bodies that criminals were starting to use. Of course when the .357magnum came along, .38super wasnt as hot anymore
  19. It takes a GOOD smith to get .357sig to work in a 1911, dont ask me why but thats from the research i did. They are both good with similar velocities but the sig is limited to 9mm bullets and the super can use resized .357mag bullets if you reload. Personally between the two, do a super if in a 1911. But if given another caliber choice id do 9x25dillon or 9x23 winchester
