  1. Now that is one nonstandard ar lower that i WOULD buy. Please tell me he completed it
  2. Availablity of hi cap maga would be my guess. And the A Team didnt use a 742.
  3. Do it. Its worth around $500 if not more
  4. Its all about public perception
  5. Nobody is going to carry around a contender pistol anyways outside of hunting.
  6. No those are federal firearm classifications. The state just wont let you carry a handgun with over a 12" barrel. It would only be an SBR if you put a stock on it and an AOW if the barrel was less than 18" and a smoothbore. People own and use Contenders with 14" barrels on pistol frames all the time to hunt with.
  7. Colt is the classic and first and resale is typically better as they are perceived to be of higher quality. And its made in America
  8. Id go with colt if i were planning to hand it down just my opinion
  9. Another thing is the Sig 1911s have a slightly different slide profile but its different enough that they dont fit standard 1911 holsters very well. They usually require sig1911 specific holsters
  10. I would have guessed he was referring to Carbonite not using their "tools" well but i guess it could be interpreted either way.
  11. The only 100% steel .22 pistols i have been able to find are the ruger mark iii ( non 22/45 model as it uses a polymer frame) and the CZ Kadet conversion on a CZ75
  12. And its not really a Colt, like he was wanting
  13. I would say your only choices are a ruger mark iii, ruger mark iii 22/45, browning buckmark, or maybe a walther p22 but its not really upgradeable
  14. What price range are you looking at because i personally would choose a rock island over either or those two. Both have external extractors and a real 1911 has an internal extractor that works just fine. Dan Wesson, colt, springfield, etc. deserve a look at
  15. The new ones use 1911 grip panels
  16. From my research its a clone of the cz 452. If so it should be a great and very accurate rifle
  17. Its not a pleasant scenario for anyone but it is quite plausible IMO. I could see it beginning within the next 6 months.
  18. This starting to remind me of the movie equilibrium
  19. Ok so who wants to be the first to fire some buffalo bore .45colts through it
  20. The difference boils down to whether you like the 1911 grip angle or the luger grip angle more
  21. They made those in .22 and .45colt/.410shotshell. I wouldnt mind having one in 45
  22. Google says they were made in TN. Company now out of business. Crudely finished. Honestly, id give it a try for $100. But ive always loved the old pepperbox pistols
  23. Does VA not have any additional reciprocy states that TN does not?
  24. Huh? Im not really knocking your choice just wondering why? This is zombie killing not everyday concealed carry. I know the general population looks and acts like mindless zombies but they arent quite zombies yet. Almost though
  25. Since ive already said my 3 and there seems to be a pattern in what everyone else thinks, its basically Luger P08 Walther P38 Browning Hi Power CZ75 Beretta 92 Sig P226 Glock 17 A combination of three any of those seems to be 90-95% of the answers here Also while not really pistols but iconic 9mms nonetheless are the previously mentioned Uzi and Glock 18.
