1. I imagine the ATF is keeping a pretty close eye on all the big gun classified sites. Hopefully the people who bought with the intention of reselling to make 400%+ profit will hang themselves given enough rope and time.
2. While i would rather neither taxes nor a ban occur, id rather see a tax on it so it would still be obtainable on the open market albeit at a considerably higher price. Would rather not have to buy guns and or ammo on the black market but have no problem doing so. Its just easier on the open market.
3. @ RobertNashville, they can ask what they want all day long. As others have said TGO has a sense of brotherhood and community here and as such I would rather not see members getting taken advantage of. I responded in this thread to voice my opinion about the matter instead of thread crapping on his classified ad.
4. My thoughts are most of us dont buy firearms, magazines or ammo for investments especially right now when the market is super inflated. We buy them to use. How would you like it if everyone decided to suddenly charge $50 for a loaf of bread or $100 for a gallon of milk or a pound of meat overnight? Nobody wants to pay $1200 for a rifle that sold for $300 or less not that long ago
5. Mine is still up and everything on my page is related to guns or big loud non-environmentally friendly trucks. Honestly if i were kicked off Facebook, itd give me an excuse to spend more time on TGO.
6. Its basically a .30/30 that fits in an AR magazine. Its on my short list
7. I really like the galco combat master for OWB or crossbreed for IWB
8. Keep in mind the inner strands of paracord inside the outer sheath is very similar to dental floss or 6-10lb test fishing line. Saves from having to pack floss or fishing line.
9. I completely fail to see how unions are "necessary"? Please explain
10. I would suggest instead of boxes of ammo, go ahead and load up some spare mags and keep those unless the rifle doesn't have a magazine.
11. <blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="StPatrick" data-cid="869576" data-time="1356601184">
More out of habit with rifled barrels than anything - my understanding is that aggressive cleaning can wear out a barrel faster than shooting. With a 12ga, I figure that a minor (or even major) amount of fouling won't have any effect on performance, so why bother?

Excessive cleaning wont hurt it either. I know at least one of the mossberg super mag (3 1/2") shotguns uses a 12ga chamber then opens up to a 10 ga barrel to help with patterning the large loads. You arent going to hurt a quality shotgun barrel by cleaning it.
12. I see the FNX as an alternative to the USP, but with a standard rail and higher capacity. Im really wanting a FNX 45 for a nightstand gun seems perfect to me, 15rounds of .45acp in your hand is plenty of firepower.
13. <blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="Garufa" data-cid="869228" data-time="1356561939">
Considering Magpul just relased a line of pink MOE furniture I have pondered "What if that is all we can get?" :yuck:

They will always make black spray paint.
14. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smith_%26_Wesson_Model_14

I dont trust Wikipedia as a quotable source but it says they were available with 8 3/8" barrels. If you are looking for a value, might try the smith and wesson forums.
15. Got a Sog Seal Pup and a nice camo dry box about the size of 4-5 50cal cans put together
16. Kinda OT but, give a determined man a single shot rifle or shotgun or a derringer and he can be very dangerous.
17. I dont get where people say a 40 is uncontrollable in a compact or subcompact frame. I had a 33 ( subcompact .357sig) that was supposedly very snappy but i found it very controllable and comfortable to shoot.
18. I dont think it would be asking to much of them to try to find out what guns one person or a small group of people have but they dont have the resources to do it on a large scale. And it would take decades to do it if they concentrated on some people for a while then moved onto another group
19. I would say msrp for anything ar related right now would be considered a good deal. I like dpms for entry level ar 10 and from there you can get as nice of one as you can afford.
20. Im expecting another 10round magazine capacity restriction at the least. Like mike said, the gun wont be banned just the mags. Get your extra mags asap. But the gun comes with 3 so you can get by until you can get extras.
21. I dont think you can make a m1a as accurate as an accurized ar10 for example a Larue Tactical OBR 7.62. I see no reason to get an m1a over an ar10 aside from looks with a walnut stock or to use in a bullpup stock but thats different. The ar10 has better ergonomics, easier mag changes, lighter, more accurate if both models are accurized or high end, easier to clean or disassemble, easier to fix, easier to mount optics, just as reliable, much more customizable. The ar10 is the modern version of the m1a. The m1a was great in its day but if you might need a quick mag change i wouldnt use anything requiring you to tilt or rock the mag in. (Aks and fals included). I also include next gen carbines such as the scar heavy in with "AR10s" but they are quite different from normal ar10s also.
22. Me personally, i think the NFA should regulate machine guns only by registration as it is now but allow newly manufactured ones to be owned by civilians. NFA should also regulate DDs such as explosives but SBRs and SBSs and AOWs and suppressors should not be regulated.
