  1. Greetings!
  2. EL Dorado. Best movie ever.
  3. It seems a database could work both ways. I agree with Will, it wouldn't pass. It could help or it could hurt. I'll just continue to do business with people who are willing to share id's and and sell reasonably priced firearms.
  4. Thanks Caster, that's what I meant.
  5. I had the strangest dream the other night. The world was being overrun by zombies. I was holed up in a room and the zombies broke through. I had 5 bullets left and used all of them to no avail. Speaking out loud I said " Why aren't you dying". The zombies responded, much to my shock, and told me that they were vampire-zombies and that conventional methods of killing would not work on them. They were, however, scared of Ak 47 rifles. Weird stuff huh? Just thought I'd share some of the randomness in my mind...
  6. I think "religion" is a very personal experience. It is also very individual. What works for one, may not work for another. I never get into discussions regarding particulars of belief with anyone. If someone wants to know what I believe, they can ask and I will tell them everything. Otherwise I keep it to myself and my family. The idea of exposing children to community is great. We need more people like this in the world. I wish everyone would be accepting of everyone else, but that probably isn't gonna happen anytime soon.
  7. Greetings!

    Bad news

    Sorry to hear this...
  9. I would gladly tell all the info I have if one ever came back stolen. I just wish there was an easier way to tell if someone is needing money or if they are a thief. Following my gut usually works, but sometimes I'd rather have a little more proof than a gut feeling. It would be cool if there was a searchable database, but then it would be harder for LEOs to actually get their hands on the guns. Of course in a perfect world this wouldn't be an issue because no one would steal.
  10. There is always someone badder...
  11. OK, same scenario, except the guy says "it's not stolen, here is the serial #" Can I get that checked out without having the firearm? And if it is stolen, since I don't have possession, how does the confiscation occur?
  12. Greetings!

    Taurus pt145

Does anyone have any input on the Taurus pt145 ?? I have an opportunity to acquire one of these and know nothing about them. Any advice or opinions are welcome! Thanks!
  14. If the trap fails...If you put salt on its tail that should do it...
  15. greetings!
  16. This is kinda what I had thought. The last gun I turned down was a s&w 38 special for $75. I think next time I will ask them to go to the police station with me to verify the numbers.
  17. So, lets say I has someone wanting to sell me a pistol for a ridiculously low price. This price is so low I have to think it is stolen. The guy assures me it is not. Now, I don't want to cause myself or the seller any troubles, but I don't want to buy a stolen gun. I have heard that you can ask your local police department to run a check on the gun for you. I have also heard that if it is in fact stolen, they will take it away. I haven't bought anything like this, but have had a few offers thrown at me (not on here). I turned them down for fear they were stolen. I always heard if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Anyone have experience in this??
  18. I had the stroganoff. I am not a fan of stroganoff, but it was edible. The other stuff looked better. Figures that the one thing I don't care for would be the free sample (murphey's law).
  19. Greetings! Post that holster in the show and tell!
  20. Another thread on here had someone mentioning wise foods products. I contacted them and got a free sample sent to me. It was decent (I'm picky). I think I am going to buy some of their products. They are in mylar bags and stored in buckets. Best of all 25 year shelf life so i don't have to rotate.
  21. Although it is probably easier to list what you CAN'T do with para cord, I'll a few of my uses. My main uses are emergency rope. Whenever something needs tied up/down, I grab the para cord. I also made a dog collar and leash with it. And of course, I love those bracelets that everyone seems to have.
  22. I didn't realize that a bomb squad detonates all odd packages. I can def see why they were alarmed. I would have been too.
  23. Probably not the best idea, but I carry extra Glock mag in my left front pants pocket. It just rides around loose in there all day. After seeing some of these mag holsters on here, I decided I need one.
