1. The guy next to me rented a glock in 45.  Not too odd except he had never shot a gun before.  The 1st few shots from him scared me. he was not ready for the power of the 45!
2. I had a similar time with comcast. I had/have the blast internet. It was$50.  I rec'd a letter saying I had been undercharged and effective the next month it would be $70. I called and for $60 kept that internet and got cable. It would have been the same price without the cable, so i took it.  It's not the cheapest deal, but I really like the internet they provide.  Most of my time was spent telling them I didn't want cable or home phone.  Finally we made a deal (and they won I guess since I now have cable) and settled on the $10 increase.  I looked into the other service providers and was unable to make up my mind.  If you end up with a good deal, let me know so I can check it out. I don't have any contract or anything. My price will not go up.
3. Reminds me of the Zager and Evans song: 2525
4. Just when I thought I didn't like Christmas, they come out with these. Now I have to go home and re-think my life.
5. Awesome looking, as usual!
6. Looks like we have enough interest to make this happen.  I am gonna start looking at my calendar and farmers almanac to see what the dates and weather look like.
7. Sorry for the loss of your friend.  I lost a friend a few years back in a similar way.  My thoughts go to the friends and family.
8. Yes, that was me. Just know it went to a good loving home. I was thinking we might be able to use my house to meet. I do have neighbors, but we would be fine during "normal" hours.  I'm on the Kentucky border. I don't know how close that is for everyone.  I still need to work on some logistics, but I am throwing the idea out to see what everyone else is thinking.
9. I'm in. Spots can crash at my house. I have a coal forge and a awesome rr track anvil I just got from 56ford guy. Let me look at some dates and think on some details.
10. It took me 4 months to get my first one. 1 month for my renewal.
11. Guess who is buying a brick hammer this week??
12. I like those danish wedding cookies best. Choc chip is my 2nd pick
13. Guess #1: A donut stick Guess #2: Some sort of cool steel
14.
is sexy an acceptable term to describe a gun?
no. That is a nice looking gun though.

AK vs. SKS

Having played with both SKS and AK, I lean towrds the AK side. To me, the main difference was the mag release. I can change mags in the AK 10x as fast as I can in the SKS. That being said, I have a buddy who can reload a SKS with stripper clips as fast as I can change mags. In the end I chose the AK, but have not seen one as cheap as I paid for mine in quite some time. Price always dictates purchase and I agree that the SKS can be had for cheaper. They are good rifles too and are very similar in function.
16.
I was talking about mineral oil on the knife as a rust inhibitor/lubricant in place of something such as Rem Oil or CLP.
Oh, I got ya. Mineral oil works for that too. Thats what I use on my butcher knives. And you can eat it (I don't suggest that).
17. I have used humidifiers off and on for the past 15 years and never had that problem. Not sure what caused that.... I have always bought the cheapest ones I could find, hoping that they all worked about the same. Our new central system is so much better than the old one that I don't think I even need one anymore. I think the last one we used was a honeywell, but I haven't ran one in a while.
18. Looking great! That paracord on the second one looks familiar....
19. I was a mineral oil addict. I have found; however, that often times water works just as well, as long as your sharpener accepts water as a lubricant. I have a Smiths diamond sharpener and it works well with water. My first preference will always be a good 3 stone system, but they are often expensive. The smiths cost $15 and works almost as well.
20. Great looking knives. I really like the handle on the 2nd one. It seems "fatter" for great grip.
21. Awesome knives sandman! It is amazing what can be made with a lot of hard work. I don't want to sound like a broken record, but Spots really is awesome.
22. What is a "typical" home invasion? And how did he become the expert? What a joke indeed.
23. When I 1st saw it, I thought "this is the dumbest show ever". I still think it is the dumbest show ever, but I am hooked. Don't let the beards fool you, they are geniuses.
24. Notice the man is not wearing shoes.
25. I actually had this happen. I sold a gun to someone. I then bought it back and had it for a few months an sold it again.(made a profit each time). The guy I sold it to sold it to someone else (still with me??) This guy used the gun in a home invasion! The guy who sold it to him told me about it, but i never got asked any questions. I was legit in selling it all times so I had no worries, but it still was on my mind that I had caused the crime. Then I started thinking that this dude probably would have bought another gun if he had not bought the one I had. Point of my 8 degrees of UncleJak's gun story: just sell the gun.
