  3. you're right. I wasn't referring to people who genuinely need assistance. Of all the people I have encountered who received welfare, maybe two actually needed it. (I've met thousands) I worked at a store that had a guy with downs syndrome working there. He couldn't do a lot but he wanted to work. He earned the respect of everyone he met. He didn't have to work but chose to! sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

  6. I think all welfare recipients should work. It's biblical "if you don't work, you don't eat". There are so manu wasteful programs....makes me sick... sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee
  7. sure. I'll be there. I feel like a group that large should have a bit more pull with venues than they do. Maybe not...but it just seems like they could/should. sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee
  8. another reason I won't join NRA. You have to practice what you preach. sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee
  9. you are probably right. They already owe that amount. Raising the debt ceiling just allows them to pay it. But the debt is waaaay out of control I have some solutions: tax all income equally; including welfare (can you guys believe food stamps are untaxed? ?), cut all non-essential programs. Seems simple enough. Too bad I can't be president. . sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

  17. I posted this last year asking for repair advice. I finally got around to finishing this guy. The handle is made from maple that I cut myself. The picture is actually taken in front of the stump of the old tree.I like the way it turned out. I'll probably carry this on my outings in the woods.the sheath was made by the guy who gave me the knife. It is super thick leather and will probably last forever. sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

  20. Sad news. I wish I could drop everything and search every time an alert is issued. sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee
  21. from what I was told the poor performance layoffs had no previous performance issues. Funny how someone can have years of great reviews and then when layoffs happen, all of a sudden they have poor reviews. I don't know if this is true but I trust my source completely. sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee
  22. The 870 is waaay easier than the 500 to work (at least for me). But yep they all have the releases sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee
  23. Not sure, but I got a 243 single shot to share with my son. The recoil isn't bad, but it is really loud! Best of all, I can still find 243 at most stores! sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee
