  1. I have two boxes of 22 shorts and have no idea what they can be shot in. I have a 22 bolt action rifle, a walther sp22, and a iver johnson target sealed 8. Any of these ok to use with them? Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee
  2. I have also been in a supposed haunted house in gallatin. I went into the cellar/ basement where the slaves were kept and killed (makes a interesting story I guess). I didn't see or hear anything. Everyone kept saying how cold it was....I was like " it's a freaking basement!" Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee
  3. me and a friend were dropping off a young lady in highland park one afternoon. Her brother and about 15 of his friends saw us and starting making their way towards us. My buddy asked what I thought they wanted. At first I assumed it was to exchange introductions, bit quickly saw it was not to exchange any type of pleasantries. It could've been a real bad situation, but we tore out pretty quick. Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee
  4. When I clicked this thread, I thought "another silly backpack thread". Then I saw the picture. I have to have one! Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee
  5. Believe this if you want: I had a friend pass away a few years ago. He was 35 and died suddenly. It upset me greatly and I had a real hard time dealing with it. One night, he came to me in a dream and we spoke briefly. He wanted to let me know that there was a place for good people to go and that he was okay. I awoke with a better feeling. I know it was him I spoke to, but I don't think he was a "ghost"; he simply came to talk. I haven't seen him since and don't really expect to.but it was nice to have one last conversation. 6. I answered the door, talked to them, and accepted some books....at my dad's house.lol They came back the next week looking to study with us. He called me and asked if I had accepted the books, I told him they were free. Apparently nothings free; they came back. But it was his place not mine, so it didn't bother me at all.lol I considered it payback for him driving me around in a powder blue station wagon all those years, but that is another story. 7. I agree with almost everything you said. Except I don't think Islam killed X. All the rest is very accurate, including Farrakhan's remarks. Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee
  8. Malcolm X warned about it and it got him killed... Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

  10. I wasn't gonna go into that much detail....but thanks. It was politically based and nothing to do with freedom or equality. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 4
  11. Does anyone know why Lincoln wanted to pass that amendment?? I do.
  12. I have one for my glock 27...it was a good value and works okay. Not my favorite way to carry but when I need super concealment it does the trick. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 4

  15. It was only a matter of time...
  16.   I think I would have waited to holster until LEO arrive, but then immediately comply with their requests.
  17. Maybe the new Marlins are geared more towards street thugs who require a extra 7 round clip...
  18. Okay, one more. I was installing thin metal tiles as a backsplash in my bathroom.  After two rows i realized they were uneven and slanting downward (I didn't use a level and just "eyeballed" it). I was a bit frustrated and was using a screwdriver to reach behind them and pop them back off. In my haste, the screwdriver slipped and the tile cut my right pointer finger off. Yes, OFF! It was dangling by a small piece of skin that didn't cut all the way through. It went right through the joint and all! I lifted it back into place and thought to my self that it couldn't be as bad as I thought. I released the finger and it dangled again. I wrapped it in a towel, got my kids, and drove to town to meet my wife for a trip to the ER.  The finger is back on and a lot of the feeling has returned (happened in 2010). I still cannot bend it all the way down as I can my other ones.  That has to be my worst by far...

    Need to vent

The only thing I ever learned from my dad was how to shoot (he was a super shot!), but never any kind of repairs. When I purchased my house in 2000, I very quickly racked up some repair skills. 13 years later, I rarely call any type of repairman. I have learned out of necessity.  I'm sure you will do the same.
  20. Ok...I was attempting to adjust my attic stairs and decided to try to hold the bar while under tension and have my dad undo the bolt. I figured I would ease it up...dad told me he thoughr this was a bad idea..he undid the bolt, it sheared the pin and the bar flew out of my hands and hit me strait above the eye. A stitch-worthy cut! If it had been half inch lower I would have gotten my eye. Moral of the story: sometimes your dad knows what he is talking about. sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee
