Preliminary results are in: woven bamboo is super tough! The guy I got it from told me it was but until I started cutting it I had no idea. My jigsaw struggled to cut through it. I have one handle started and should be able to post more tomorrow. Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

It should be legal. I wouldn't do it regularly and honestly I cannot think of a good reason why I would. But if I wanted to I'd like that option. Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

Has anyone tried to make handles from woven bamboo? I'm told it is super strong and will never unfray. I'm gonna give it a try to see what happens. Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

this latest one was at long hunter state park. It's open to the public and is around 5-6 dollars admission. Last weekend was in adams Tennessee. There's also one in mount juliet. I prefer the fall ones because they usually have better weather. Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

I've done the same thing. I totally forgot to mention what broomhead said. Oops. I'm sure they will be great. Knives aren't supposed to be pretty, they're supposed to cut! Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee -

I peen my brass pins in, then lightly sand them to finish. I usually attach one side at a time, let dry, do other side, sand to near finished, brass pins, then final sanding. Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee -
nope. The more the merrier. I didn't say if I'd vote for any of them. I just want more choices. Maybe UncleJak and his vice president Spots? Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

I saw this in my bail enforcement class. I swore it was a bad shoot the first time I saw it. Actually the first two times! It is definitely a good shoot but takes a few views to see why. Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

figures. I forgot we live in a sissy america now; a place where a thief has more rights than the victim. On a side note...I'd be interested in seeing a thief with no hands. Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

I had a $100cd player stolen once. Stupid thief forgot the harness. Caused way more tha $100 worth of damage. I think we should cut off thieves hands like them mid east boys do! Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

My papaw had a old gun he called a papoose. It was a 22 that brokedown into a small case. After he passed I don't know what became of it. Do they make these new anymore or are they out of production? I've wanted to get one but don't know anything about them. Of anyone knows anything about them, I'd love to hear it. Thanks! Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

All this Is great advice. I'd lile to add: you need a way to secure your home. Wood, screws, nails, booby traps, etc... If you are planning on staying put, plan on defending your castle. Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

I had never heard of longs until recently. My local shop has longs for sale. I thought they were LR but they were not. Sent barefoot from the hills of Tennessee

I worked in the grocery business for 10 plus years (I am a butcher). Foodstamp abuse runs rampant in every store I ever worked in. There are some people who really do need the assistance, but in the areas where I worked (11 different stores, for the same company) there was very little "need". The are several stories I could share, but the one that sticks out in my mind the most involves a leather jacket. I had been to the western store the week prior and they had a leather jacket that was just in. It was the most beautiful jacket I had ever seen, and it cost $450! I knew I couldn't afford it, so I drooled and left. The next week, I was taking a break and went to buy a soda and candy bar up front. The guy standing in front of me had on the very jacket that I had seen. I commented on how nice it was and that I hoped the price would go down once it wasn't so new. He replied "yea, it's nice" and turned back around to purchase the groceries. Imagine my surprise when this guy pulls out a EBT card to pay for his groceries! It sickened me to think he had $450 for a jacket but he didn't have $50 for groceries! I believe when a community has a member in need, it is the shared responsibility of that community to step in and assist. I have seen this done many times in many ways. When my mother in law's husband walked out after 30 years of marriage with crops in the field waiting to be cultivated and animals needing to be attended, a large group of friends and family, myself included, stepped in and did what had to be done. No one asked for anything in return, we did it because there was a need in our community. This is how I believe our creator intended. I believe in "you don't work, you don't eat", but that does not address "you can't work". I am thankful for the EBT program when it helps someone who "can't" work. i despise it when it helps someone who "won't".
