You want confusing? Check out the Connecticut hunting regs! They gave me a headache trying to figure them out. Luckily I knew a DEP agent and he would clarify things for me. Usually he thought they were assinine too. Michigan was always pretty good actually. I haven't read it in a while. May have changed. Michigan DNR officers were usually pretty cool and understanding and willing to help.

I say positive things about them when warranted. Unfortunately i have lived in several parts of the country and have had more negative experiences than positive. I also have friends who are currently LE and some retired. Funny they even have negative experiences and things to say sometime. I call a spade a spade. Sorry it bothers you. I don't see anything wrong with the officers behavior in the OP's encounter. But you have to admit,there are some bad cops out there. I actually love the Sherriff's Dept here in Blount county. I think they are fantastic! Alcoa PD is a joke. Just a big revenue machine of ego maniacs with a power trip. Maryville PD seems ok. I had an issue once with a rookie. I drove straight down to the depth. and the shift commander tore up the ticket and apologized. No biggie. Same with Knox county. Always professional and helpful. As for KPD,i wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.

I agree. I have no use for a threaded barrel. Both are great guns and both companies are known for excellent costomer service. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. Just depends which feels the best in your hand. I can tell you what I'd pick but I'm not you. You could aslways just go buy a 1911.

Bowing down to political correctness ,tucking tail,and worrying about peoples feelings are what have gotten us regulated by all these silly gun laws in the first place. And Crime is worse than it's ever been. I'm all for open carry and personal choice. If feelings are that important,Canada isn't that far away and they have plenty of room.

Never been impressed with Leupolds over Nikon. I wanted to by the Leupold because it was American made but the Nikon's always seem nicer and I have never had a problem. I have a 3-9 Monarch I bought in the mid 90s that has been on several guns and it has never given me a problem.

243 is or 257 is a great round. I'm more fond of the 257 Roberts or 257 Weatherby Mag. I like the 25/06.
