Seems a lot of new mowers don't have adjustments for belt tension. You have to just replace the belt. Unless you're handy of course. Then you could make a tensioner for it.

3rd gen 4runners are excellent vehicles. Get the 3.4 V6. Not only for the torque but the timing belt is a lot easier and cheaper to replace than the chain in the 2.7 4 banger.
