  1. I'll be there either Sat or Sunday. Not sure which just yet.
  2. He must have some good black mail on a few people for them to keep defending him like this during an election year.
  3. Would be up for something along these lines.
  4. So what happens to all of the states that find it illegal under their own constitutions to force obamacare? I remember there being a lot of talk about state governments wanting to take the feds to court over it a while ago.
  5. Don't think I've ever seen a crossbreed at a show; prettty sure they are all custom made. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though. I carry a springfield xd .40 compact and use a crossbreed supertuck IWB and love it. Not a woman's opinion but I did try several others; hated to spend a bunch of money on something I couldn't try on but it was well worth it! Also, crossbreed's customer service is awesome! My wife is currently checking out a bunch of the options from Looper Law Enforcement(the people that make the flashbang holster). Lots of women specific holsters there. http://www.looperlawenforcement.com/
  6. Been thinking about doing this as well. Anything beyond filling out and submitting the ATF form and CLEO form and payment that I should know about? I'm definitely seeing a Tokarev or P64 in my future. I really like the nagant revolvers too.
  7. I gotta get my wife to make another peach cobbler soon. Been too long! Anyways, I have several I could share but probably one I'm most known for in my family is my steaks. While I can't really tell you how to pick out a good cut I'm sure there's lots of stuff on google that will show you how. I tend to stick to ribeye's and NY strip only. Take the steaks and wash them off under cold water. Place them in a bowl and cover with worcestershire sauce; this can take quite a bit so get a big bottle or bulk buy. Refrigerate for 30mins - 1 hr. Remove steaks from their worcestershire bath and place them on a cookie sheet or other flat object. Rub a liberal amount of this stuff http://www.amazon.com/KC-Masterpiece-Seasoning-6-Ounce-Shakers/dp/B000EDG0D4 on all sides. Put steaks on hot grill (500-600 degrees) and reduce heat to medium/medium low (300-400 degrees). Cook on each side for about 4-5 minutes. I usually split this up rotating the steaks 90 degrees at the 2-3 minute mark to make those nice diamond grill marks. Now you can grill them shorter if you like them a little less done but here's where the worcestershire bath pays off. I usually like my steaks medium to medium well but I can cook them a full 10 minutes or slightly longer and they are still just as tender and tasty as a medium steak. Remove steaks from grill and place a plate and cover with foil. Allow steaks to rest for at least 10 minutes before serving. This is the most difficult 10 minutes you've had to wait in your life! Busy yourself by whipping together a little compound butter to top the steak with. Start with about a half stick of REAL butter and zest a lime into. Now squeeze about half of the lime juice in and blend together with a fork. Use a melon baller or teaspoon to make small round portions to top your steak with just before serving. Don't forget the cold beer! A good Mexican variety or a Belgian goes well with this recipe. I would suggest Victoria(mexican) or Palm(belgian). Enjoy!
  8. Ammo shopping online = http://www.ammoengine.com/ http://ammoseek.com/ http://gun-deals.com/ammo http://www.slickguns.com/
  9. Also, the Mossberg 500 & Maverick 88 as well as the venerable Remington 870 are all good choices for this type of role. Pretty reliable, fairly inexpensive to own and train with, and almost completely modular when it comes to accessories.
  10. My wife's hands are in this same category and started out with a S&W airweight .38spl and HATED it. She can't bring herself to sell it though . She moved on to the Sig P238 and loves it so far but has trouble hitting with it if we skip too much practice with it. Her biggest problem with finding a good fitting pistol has been grip size and the length of her index finger being able to reach and really control the trigger; especially on most DA style pistols. I've shot her Sig plenty and it's a nice gun but it lacks some features I wish she had. The #1 of which is round capacity. Oddly enough I've found that the CZ82/83 fits her hand and trigger pull perfectly. So I'm on the lookout for an 83 so she can have a larger, higher-capacity, gun for whatever and the sig will still be her CCW as it is by far smaller and less printing than the CZ's.
  11. where/what is CHMR?
  12. Definitely. Get some trigger time on a righty and see if it really bothers you that much. Most people complain about hot shell casings more than the gasses. So as long as you're running with the shell deflector bump on your upper most people don't have an issue. Now, this is entirely based on semi auto. If you rock and roll one the gasses would probably be a different story. And again, nothing wrong with just wanting a lefty upper; it will just cost more is all.
  13. I just got through building a lefty AR for my wife based on a stag upper. Great all around but some things I have learned in the process regarding lefty's and AR's might be helpful to you. So long as whatever, normal, upper you get has the shell deflector on it then it shouldn't be too big of a deal for most people. My wife even admitted that the amount of gasses that travel out of my right-handed AR don't really bother her. Also, if you have normal size fingers/hands an ambi mag and bolt release are not needed really either as both are fairly easy to reach while operating the weapon from the left hand. What has been invaluable to her has been a left handed extended charging handle(Badger Ordanance) and ambi selector(stag arms, dpms, troy ind., etc). If you want to mix and match there will be opinions all over the place on what type of upper and lower to go with but if you want a complete rifle that doesn't break the bank then you're probably looking at dpms or S&W. It is VERY easy to fly right past the $700-800 limit though. IF you find yourself in that position then I would suggest Stag(with the upgraded M4 options), Spikes, Wyndham(the old Bushmaster crew), or my personal fave Armalite. A couple hundred more past that and you are in the Colt arena. Just my $.02
