    AR build

Do you already have the tools to actually build it? Vice, armorer's wrench, punches, receiver vice block, torque wrench? If not you'll want to add those as well. Never heard of Roggio Aresenal or Aero Precision so i can't speculate on their products. The last time I went to build one it was going to end up being like maybe $60 more to just buy a fully assembled upper and fully assembled lower versus buying it all seperately and doing the assembly myself. I opted to let the builder do it for that price point.

    beer snobs

Maredsous Blonde or Maredsous Brune if the blonde isn't available are a couple of my fav's.
  3. Pretty sure they just debuted them this weekend at the bullpup shoot in KY.
  4. I'm not a big whiskey guru but I like sampling stuff down at Whiskey Kitchen near downtown Nashville. If you don't want to spring for an entire bottle its a good way to taste some of the better varieties out there. It gets a little hipster'y at night though so its better attended during the day imho.
  5. I believe there is a 10 round for the 54r now but it is single stack so it is a huge mag compared to the SVD style. Also there is a company making a replacement FSB w/ SVD style flash hider. Ironwood designs is also working up a replacement stock/grip and handguards that are repro SVD style made to fit on a Vepr if you are wanting a replica look.
  6. Thanks for the responses guys. This helps a ton!
  7. I live in Rutherford county - would this be the county sherrif or the chief of the police for my city?
  8. ^^This With the 238 they had to change the magazine design 3 times, change the recoil spring, rewrite the manual to include suggesting greasing the rails, and started including a tube of their own sig brand grease before all of the problems were gone. Not feeding correctly is usually magazine related on the 238 while FTE is usually recoil spring or grease on the rails. I know the 938 is an updated version but I'm not sure sig learned their lessons entirely the first go around.
  9. Just off the top of my head I would suggest hitting up a gun show and having her give an opinion on the following guns(if you can find them): CZ82 CZ83 Glock 22/23 Glock 26/27 Springfield XD/XDM subcompact S&W M&P Compact P64 Tokarev Makarov Any number of 1911 variations the most prominent in this circumstance would be a Springfield EMP or the Kimber CDP(? not sure on the full model name here?)

    Sig P938

Does it use the same mags as the 238 or new ones?
  11. I would just wait until some of the Zastava PAP pistols come in. http://www.impactguns.com/pap-m92-pv-pistol-762x39mm-30-rnd-mag-hg3089-n-787450220720.aspx
  12. Was the smallest show I've been to yet. Was very disappointed. Went to check out the local shop though http://www.lebanongunshop.com/ and they were very friendly and they had similar prices to the pistols I was looking for at the show.
  13. If you have G3 mags that fit without ANY alterations whatsoever then you have a CETME built with a G3 mag catch in the magazine well. CAI used a mix of parts on some of their earlier rifle builds. Ebow is dealing with a real CETME mag latch. Either the latch itself can be filed to accept the smaller indentations on G3 mags or he can open up the catch area on the G3 mags. Since G3 mags are so cheap I would personally alter the mags versus the rifle. I can attest that his rifle is 100% in spec as I am the one that sold it to him. http://www.falfiles.com/groups/printthread.php?t=309704&pp=40
  14. Planning going Sat. so I hope its still on.
  15. Yeah, I usually end up going to the shows to buy accessories and/or ammo only. This way I pay entry/parking instead of a bunch of shipping fees from different places. Typically save the actual gun purchases to local or online vendors.
  16. Both current parties need to be removed and the entire political game needs to be restarted as a true 3 party system along the lines of conviction; liberal, moderate/independent, and conservative. Accompanying that needs to be a drastic re-organziaton of congress in how bills/laws are created and voted upon as well as how the whole thing is funded. We need real term limits for congressmen/women, no free rides for serving in congress, etc.
  17. yeah, it took me a grand total of about 30 minutes to walk all the tables in both buildings.
  18. well it's probably going to rain all day so I might make the trip afterall. back from the show - I wouldn't advise anyone to make the trip or waste the money. Only thing interesting that I saw was a guy selling a golani galil w/ 4 mags for $650. Was in great shape too. Other than that everything else was blah.
  19. Can't remember the vendor but at the last Nashville gun show there was a guy there selling a bunch of different pistol size ones for a fair price as well.
  20. I always have to make fun of the intro when they are playing the "american guns" song and introducing the Wyatt's. In that little montage if you pay attention Paige has her eye's closed when she's shooting her pistol. Can't help it but I LOL everytime.
  21. They will always be "home" to me and there are times when I miss them dearly.
  22. Yeah, I usually just tune out, leave the room, or something during the parts when Rich is on the screen. I know the customer interactions/prices/etc are all scripted and none of it is real but its best for my blood pressure if I don't watch those parts. I do enjoy watching the gunsmith parts where they are actually working on the guns/parts. Sons of Guns doesn't really show much in this area and I wish they would. If the HD shotgun makes you mad there was also an episode where they supposedly charged several thousand dollars to build a .308 AR for some lady. LOL
  23. Was considering this show as well but the last one I went to from this promoter was a total flop. Not concerned too much about the entry fee just the lost drive time back and forth to Dickson from Nashville.
  24. smartphone and/or ipad has resulted in many gun show trips for me where I walked away empty handed - thankfully. Its hard to overcome that impulse buy scenario sometimes
  25. Imaged one of our extra workstations with it and absolutely hated it. MS has this thing where every other release of their desktop OS sucks horribly. So far they are still on track with that it seems. Win9, or whatever they'll call it, will probably be awesomesauce.
