  1. Very nice!
  2. Wow, that's really odd and extremely lame of them.
  3. I see what you are looking at where it says "offers not available in TN" in small print.  However, I added one to cart and went all the way through the checkout process but stopped before submitting the order and it never gave me any warnings nor changed the price on me at any point besides adding shipping.  Have you actually ordered from them before or have previous experience with them in this manner?
  4.   Why is that?  I don't see that anywhere on the page?
  5. Not the best out there but in stock and cheap.   http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=ZMAKA6&src=exrbSrch
  6. watched about 10 minutes and couldn't stand the lies anymore.
  7. https://www.royaltigerimports.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=92&Itemid=154#!/~/product/category=2251896&id=14073074   $74.95 each includes 4 mag pouch.  disclaimer says that mags may be a little dented, etc.
  8. nah, after what the last couple of shows have been I really don't want another repeat AND have to pay for parking.
  9. Thanks for the heads up!  Our first is due in May and I have been casually shopping around for a monitor/cam with these features.  Think you just saved me some time though!
  10. Got enough ar mags here so I thought I would pass this along to my fellow TGO'ers.   http://www.fleetfarm.com/mff/detail/magpul-pmag-30-maglevel-5-56x45-ar15-m16-black-magazine/0000000061085   Enjoy!
  11. I agree - buy as many as you can afford.     I am trying to achieve the 5 per pistol and 10 per rifle level and then anything over that is just extras.  Almost there too except for ak74 mags.
  12. Well, I'm sure you'll get a lot of differing opinions on this but I would do one of three things based on cost and easiness:   1. Forget magpul and go with troy buis - they make a front for going on railed gas blocks.   2. Replace the railed gas block with a standard fixed front sight and get the rear buis of your choice.   3. Make your own low-profile gas block by taking the standard fixed sight and dremeling it down, then get a longer rail/handguard system, use whatever front/rear buis you like.
  13. http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-action/house/275587-10-gun-bills-introduced-in-first-day-of-the-house   Didn't see the majority of these posted here.  Thought this would be helpful for those of us contacting our congressmen and women.
  14. Like the 3rd one best I think - good job!
  15. Mine was JTMaze.  Glad you liked the reloading supplies!  Since I've never gotten into reloading I was trying to figure out what would be good and I thought you could always use extras of those if you already had them.   Happy New Years!
  16. wish they sold a stripped lower....
  17. I don't see anything on the official releases about no-refusal check points.  Is the linked site legit or just one of those that likes to stir the pot on this kind of stuff?
  18. Got two really great condition AK mags!  Thanks Santa!
  19. Not really sure it counts as panic buying but I did order some more ammo and mags in both AR and AK flavor.  Something I've been meaning to do anyways.
  20. Trigger, I would just stick with the G2 honestly.  Spend the extra money a good safety selector from Krebs and/or one of the retainer plates for the pins instead.  Its hard to argue the tech sights if you are ok with that particular setup.  On the grip, the us palm has already been mentioned.  I would throw out there the m249 saw style grips, any number of grips from Ronin's, or the magpul stuff with one of the new millet ak-ar adapters (instead of that plastic junk from ACE).  As for the muzzle device, the battlecomp is cool but I would probably suggest either the PWS one if you want it to look fancy.  If you just want it to do a good job then just get one of the '74-style comps for the 47; will be hard to beat in the comp and FH categories.  Especially considering the price difference.   http://www.roninsgrips.com/Home_Page.html   http://slrrifleworks.com/products/AK-AK-Billet-Grip-Adapter
  21. I have setup a wish list on amazon.com that is shared to the public. If you go to amazon and then wish lists (usually a link over near the top right of the page) you can search for my user name "Viscero" and you should get a result for a "gun stuff wish list". These are small items that I would be into just to give some inspiration to whomever my secret santa is. BTW this is free and totally awesome service by Amazon.
  22. Will probably be middle of Dec. for me as I have to travel for work the first week and a half.
  23. First and foremost this needs to be HER gun and HER decision. If you ever feel that you are having to press her for the answers to these questions then I would back away from the situation. Stocking another caliber shouldn't be a concern as this is someone else's gun and caliber choice. I understand about wanting to keep things simple but If it winds up being another caliber then that is just part of it. If she earnestly wants to get a handgun then the first question that should be very easy for her to answer is, "What is it's intended purpose"? Most of the time this will be self defense. Once you both know the intended application the next best thing to do is take a Saturday or Sunday and go to a gun show - one of the larger ones in your metro area that will be sure to attract lots of handgun dealers and not the ones trying to sell some old rusted junk along with their collection of bottle caps from the '40s. Take your time and let her go table to table and pick up/examine every possible choice there is. Ergonomics, weight, trigger length, overall feel of the gun will be of the upmost importance and should be considered first. Most makers design a certain action or style of gun and then fit it to at least three or more calibers. Find the ones that "feel" the best in her hand first then worry about caliber. Once you have the list narrowed down to the ones she likes the best call around to the local ranges and see if anyone has any of those in their rental rack. Alternatively you could try meeting up with folks here from the board at a local range that may not care to let her test fire a magazine or two if they happen to own some on that short list. Whatever you do, do not buy before you try either the same model in a similar caliber or the exact caliber in a similar gun. Otherwise you end up with something you will have to resell or worse, something that she hates that will not get the job done if needed.
