I had a buddy that had a 7mm Mag M77 when the composite stocks first came out. I wasn't sure who got the worst end of the bargain, the shooter or the target.

I sent you a PM. Committee selections are made by the speakers of the respective chambers. They consult with the leaders, whips, etc. The Executive Branch has nothing to do with it, which was Moped's comment. -
I really like the tang detail. Very cool

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I do get frustrated when media speculation and internet propaganda take the place of facts. -
Congrats!! I hope your marriage is as fantastic as mine has been.

Not what I think, it is what I know. Do a little research. See how much the PACs, that are supposedly tied to Haslam, gave to the people mentioned. It is all public record. Even if you follow the black helicopters, you won't find much there. I do find it funny that you name Kelsey. -
If you don't want to take it on yourself, then find a good local shop. Results will vary. Robtattoo pretty much nailed what I was trying to convey. Your arrow starts rotating before it clears the rest. A 2" vane will clear with less contact than a 4" vane. Feather vanes are great, except when it rains. I use them on my recurve and longbows, but I stick with the polymer on my compound bow.

That is the beauty of hunting in Tennessee. We have lots of game, and lots of different areas to hunt. If I am hunting thick cover and trails, I like a brush gun. If I hunt an open area I use a bolt gun in .308 or .30-06. Know your property, and know your game's habits.

It doesn't work that way in Tennessee! The bodies elect the Speaker, the caucus elects leadership, and the Speaker names the committees, etc. The Executive Branch has no formal input. The statewide party is run by the executive committee and chairman. Ramsey was Lt. Governor four years before Haslam took office, and Harwell had secured her position a month before he took office. -

What does Haslam have to do with the way the legislature votes? His departments all have liaisons, but their influence pales in comparison to the private lobbying community. A simple majority in both houses overrides his veto, and Republicans have supermajorities in both chambers. -
Your rest looks fine, but it looks like you are seeing a pretty high level of contact with the brushes. Have you tried any arrows with the the shorter vanes? Counter to robtattoo, I really like my brush rest, and get accuracy equal to or greater than my old plunger rests. I have been using Carbon Express arrows for the last few years with 2" vanes. I can see where you could have issues with longer vanes in a brush rest.

i wasn't there, and only have the details provided by the article. However, if the officer thought that the driver was impaired enough to be an eminent threat to others on the road, then he has a duty to protect the public. Was he justified in using deadly force? The TBI, DA, etc will have to figure that out.

Especially not appendix carry!!!

I would go Colt for the difference, but mainly for the extra chromed components. Both are good guns.

All of my lever guns are .30-30 and seem to like the 160g Leverevolution. Historically, I preferred a 180g Rem-Lok SP. I have a Marlin 336 with a 2-7 Leupold mounted with "see through" rings so I can use the factory irons. I think the rings I am using were Talley's, but it has been so long I can't remember. However, my favorite brush gun is a Winchester 94 with a Williams peep sight. I feel pretty confident out to 200-250yrds. I have a bolt gun for more open areas, but I really like hunting trails around thickets and a lever gun fits the bill perfectly.

Same here. I just can't handle that genre.

I was in a now defunct LGS in Nashville a couple of years ago, and an off duty LEO dropped in. I was on the other side of the store, so i am not sure what prompted it, but he pulled out his Glock, racked the slide, and then removed the mag. He then proceeded to sweep the entire store, with his finger inside the guard. I asked him, very politely, to check his chamber again. He was mortified once he realized his error, but it could have been a bad situation.

I think it was a "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" reference. 42 is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything. -
That was exactly my thought. A good adhesive will create a bumper to keep the panels from wearing against each other in the problem area. The sound moving around is probably just areas along that seam that are rubbing together.
-
Is the noise coming from right beneath you, or from the edge of the room? If its under foot, then the adhesive should help. If it is more distant, then you would probably have to pull the subfloor to figure it out.
-
Are the joist regular 2x material? If so, you can drill a few larger holes between your screws and squirt in some construction adhesive. If it is I-beam construction, that presents some other challenges.

There is, in the Catholic faith it is called purgatory. Just the one I know, others have similar concepts. -
Most in Texas don't consider San Antonio and Austin part of the same state! Houston and Dallas metro areas aren't far behind.
