  1. That is very well said. We may never know the truth, and I tend to give the officer the benefit of doubt, but one man lost his life and another will have to live with it the rest of his.
  2. Me likes! I like the deep blue on my Browning HP, but I have a FEG thats finish has seen better days. I was thinking about a black and FDE Duracoat or CeraKote.
  3. A member of a Fire Support Team
  4. No the poster that you were referring to, but I bought one about 3 months after they were released and my experience is similar. It runs fine with Mini-Mags, but I have had a few issues with bulk ammo.
  5. Wow, just wow.
  6. Yep, that is a pretty good summary.

The HK mag releases are different, but it shouldn't take long to adjust.
  8. You can try Classic Handyman on 46th Ave. I have several friends that use them, and as long as you tell them you want it fixed right, it seems to get done.
  9. I am going to watch this with interest. I have a Beretta Cx4, but have been thinking about building an AR. I researched it a couple of years ago, but never got started.
  10. I have been to several games, but knew I was going to have a beer and left the carry piece at home. I didn't see a posting, and they don't have metal detectors. There is usually a guy at the entrance with a wand, but I haven't seen them check anyone.
  11. It has been a couple of years since I have seen one in good condition, but they were selling in the $300-400 range. The last couple I have seen were pretty beat up, and they were asking $200-250. A lot of the value depends on the configuration - barrel length and choke.
  12. I have used them in a couple of builds, and have another that I am about to start. So far, I haven't had any issues with durability, hole size, etc.
  13. That is a good idea, especially for larger guns or heavier loads. My golf travel bag is huge, so that probably wouldn't be my first choice.
  14. We tried to use it a couple of years ago, but found a better deal on a slightly used car. The process is pretty simple, but only certain dealers participate. In our case, we were buying a Lexus, and the closest dealer was in Atlanta.
  15. The Gerber MP600 is probably the best value I have found.
  16. I did have a bad experience with the Studio Pro bags that Amazon sells, but I have one of the Cowboy and one of the Newer and both have held up pretty well for both guns and studio gear.
  17. I use photo studio light stand bags for some, and a soft guitar case works well for ARs or longer guns. You can use Kaizen foam to make a nice insert for a guitar case. Light stand bags come in various sizes, often padded, and fairly inexpensive.
  18. Cheatham used to be pretty nice, but I haven't been there in several years. I used to shoot there quite a bit, but usually went after work. It could get pretty packed on weekends, especially right before deer season. They didn't have a range officer, but I only saw one incident where I wasn't comfortable. I packed my stuff and left. I heard a few stories of some of the Nashville gangs were going out there, but a couple of friends said they got that stopped pretty quickly. I am not sure what their waiting list is like now, but there is also Davidson County Sportsman's Club. I know a couple of members, and have thought about getting on the list, just never have done it.
  19. That is the issue that I have with the Hall tax.
  20. I can't believe I missed this. My wife and I were listening to a couple of his songs last night.
  21. I have a Turkish, and it doesn't look like that. The stamping in mine is pretty deep, so they would have had to remove a lot of metal before they tapped.
  22. I have a Wilton, and have been pleased. If you are looking for a source in the Nashville area, call General Industrial. They usually have them in stock.
