  1. Another note, the Comp-Tacs also allow you to swap the kydex bodies for different guns.
  2. For IWB, I would try either the Crossbreed or the Comp-Tac Minotaur. Personally, I prefer the Comp-Tac most of the time. It seems to be a little more comfortable the way I dress most of the time (tucked t-shirt, untucked outer garment). If wearing directly against the skin, the Crossbreed is the way to go.
  3. The RIA compact is an excellent carry gun. As others have stated, training is the key to any carry platform.

    The next gun...

I would call and ask. I haven't rented from either, but do know they have a case of rental guns to choose from.

    The next gun...

Guns and Leather and ASP both have a decent selection of rentals. I have heard the NRange in Hendersonville does as well, but haven't personally been there.
  6. If tats and piercing is your thing, I am all for you. Personally, I see a young girl who could be very attractive if she hadn't chosen to brand herself.
  7. I have a couple of handguns with CT grips installed, and they have performed flawlessly. I will never solely trust them for self defense, but have never had an issue. Personally, I prefer the front activation models. I believe this is a little strongly worded. I prefer a more traditional setup, but have tried the XS Big Dots. They are very well made and do function as promised. After you get used to them, they are also pretty accurate. A little too unconventional for my taste, but I can't say anything bad.
  8. The .223s had a bit of a cult following, but otherwise they weren't anything special.
  9. The EMP is a very different gun than the others. I am a huge HK fan, but am not crazy about the grip on the HK45 or P30. I prefer the USP and P2000 grips. The Sigs are also excellent arms, and I really like the TacOps. If it were my money, that is probably the route I would go.
  10. I haven't laughed that hard in years.
  11. I have spent the majority of my 20+ years of deer hunting trying to "manage the herd", only to have someone on an adjoining property take the deer I have passed on. No more. Congrats adamoxtwo.
  12. Congrats and enjoy. I had a C3, and it was a fantastic shooter.
  13. Not the ones around Nashville
  14. I would go Hi-Power.
  15. I believe that his son has been running the day to day operations for a few years now.
  16. Great knife, especially after the sharp edges wear down a bit.
  17. Yes, you do. In Tennessee, you don't have to declare, but you do have to answer truthfully if asked.
  18. Just a shame that the framers have spent the last 90 years or so spinning in their graves. Founded by geniuses and run by idiots. If you leave the idiots in there long enough, they can really make a mess of things.
  19. Yep. And those also happen to be the same groups that benefit the most.
  20. Novaks stuff is generally pretty good quality. I have Novak 3 dot or tritiums on several handguns, and really like them. I believe your issue is pretty common with FO sights. The issue seems to be how to make easily replaceable FO cylinders, but still make them durable enough to use. Personally, I don't care for FO sights. I have a magnetic shotgun bead that works pretty well in low light conditions, but it tends to wash out in bright sunlight.
  21. Sir,, you are correct. It seems that in politics we have two versions of the "truth", but neither reflects reality.
  22. Sure, but I probably need to keep them to myself. They are watching -
  23. I'm helping whiskey
  24. I don't think that is 100% true. Doesn't Tennessee define a handgun as having less than a 12" barrel?
