  1. My wife made the most incredible Shepard's Pie today. I don't think I have been this full in months.
  2. Not the poster, but just read the letters of our founding fathers. It was clearly their intent that the populous be armed to prevent the establishment of a tyrannical government.

    .327 mag??

The S&W Model 632 is the .327mag, so the link it wrong. I think this is what you are looking for - Product: Model 632
  4. You might want to check with the Hopkinsville Elevator. They purchase bulk grain, but I don't know if they sell quantities to the public.
  5. I am reserving judgement until more facts are revealed, but I have to agree with you from what I have seen so far. I have always had tremendous respect for Joe Pa, and I hope that it comes out that he did a lot more to curtail the situation. If not, then he is almost as guilty as Sandusky and should face jail time and civil liability.
  6. It is not in the Tennessee code, but would be federal law or BATFE mandate.
  7. Actually, Tennessee "buffers" the data of your background with TICS. When you purchase two handguns (again, from the same dealer within a 5 day period), the BATFE requires that the FFL submit additional paperwork. These purchases are tracked, where a 4473 really isn't.
  8. The extra reporting only applies to two handgun purchases within a 5 day period from the same dealer, at least in Tennessee. As long as they were registered by the manufacturer as rifle lowers, the FFL wouldn't have to file the extra form.
  9. Just make sure to choose a good hunting round, and make sure it shoots well in your platform. Personally, I would seek out a box of the Cor-Bon DPX 123g TSX load. I can add another 16 or 17 to your tally.
  10. I would probably opt for the Vinci, but only have a little trigger time on them. I was always more impressed with the 1100 than the 1187. The 1187s that I have messed with were a little more finicky, especially with light loads. I haven't shot one, but the Versa Max just doesn't feel right to me. If I were you, I would open up your criteria to include 3" models as well. Geese are about the only thing I use 3 1/2" shells for anymore.
  11. Pick a setup and learn it. There are a lot of theories about the best way to sight a scope, but for me the confidence to take and make the shot trumps everything. For a hunting rifle, make sure to practice at any ranges you would take a shot. If you know your zero, hold-overs, and hold-unders for various ranges, it really doesn't matter. My "go to" deer rifle is a .308 sighted in 2" high at 100yds, which puts me perfect at 200. I have used this setup for for years, and am comfortable between 50 and 400yds.
  12. It will, but may come off if you get any solvent on them when cleaning. Sight Paint tends to hold up a little better.
  13. I am going to have to try a bottle. I have been looking for a Bourbon to get excited about, and this may just fit the bill.
  14. The SA Range Officer is a lot of "bang for the buck". I have really enjoyed mine. The sights are target sights, so they are designed that way. Because of the LPA cut, you are a little limited in aftermarket options.
  15. I never thought I would care for Kydex, until I gave the Comp-Tac Minotaur a try. Now, IWB means a Comp-Tac or Crossbreed (or both). I really like the thinner profile. OWB, I would much rather have a leather holster.
  16. I wouldn't try it. Too much potential for loose shot to enter the action.
  17. My first choice would be the Millet MultiDot. The Bushnell would be my second choice.
  18. Nashville Sporting Arms has one
  19. It really depends on the barrel and how you shoot. Probably not what you were looking for, but there are a lot of factors that come into play. It some situations it can be significant, but in others you can't really tell a difference.
  20. Browning or FN Hi-Power

    Prayers

How sad. They are in my prayers.
  22. Welcome. I find a heavier gun a little easier to aim, but know several people who experience the opposite. Lightweight is easier to carry, but a good holster will make a huge difference. Heavier guns are generally more controllable for followup shots, but dual-stage recoil springs and some other enhancements can help make up for a lack of mass.
  23. Yes, I was speaking of her seat, not her being Speaker. The story of how she was elected Speaker is a lot more interesting. I agree with you. I wish more voters would work to ensure that the people they elect are of high moral character and represented their views. How people can continue to elect some of these clowns is beyond me. My rep in the House is among the bad guys. I just think it is asinine to call someone a RINO if they are not on the far right-wing side of the party. I say that someone who is about as conservative as they come on fiscal and constitutional issues.
