  1. It takes several to make a meal, but they are good. I will generally use #7 1/2 or #8 lead shot.
  2. That is the third or fourth time I have heard of someone using Italian dressing. I have always just soaked them in a little water, with just a little bit of salt and lemon. I will have to try the dressing Saturday night.
  3. Just make sure you have your plug installed
  4. I like it. My blood pressure goes up a few points everytime I pull up behind someone with a Obama '12 sticker. I can understand how they were fooled the first time, but not the second. We were driving down I40 this weekend, and there was a sign that said - "America or Obama, you can't have both".
  5. I checked them out after I saw your post this morning. I think I am going to have to order one.
  6. If you don't mind the weight difference, the MK9 is fantastic. For me, the PM9 is a little more versatile, but like the trigger in the MK9 a little better.
  7. That is a great pickup. She's a beauty
  8. Nashville Sporting Arms had one yesterday
  9. Make the jump, you won't regret it. When I bought mine, I was on a money is no object search. I was just about to order a HK MR556, and ran across the Core15 by chance. My only complaint is that it has an "average to good" trigger out of the box. Easy enough to fix, but it was something they can improve.
  10. In my humble opinion, there isn't a better carry gun made. Congrats
  11. IIRC, the legal age in TN was lowered to 18 in 1971. In '79, they raised it to 19. It wasn't until 1984 that the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 pretty much forced states to comply. There were several states held out a few years, but all eventually complied.
  12. Only the federal restrictions for migratory birds.
  13. Well, I don't think it is really a state law issue. It was the Feds that pretty much forced the states to raise the legal age, at least the last time. Regardless, I agree that at least active duty should be an exception at a minimum, but think it should be 18 for everyone. That, or raise the minimal enlistment age to 21.
  14. I don't own one, but have been pretty impressed with their double guns, especially for the price. I have not been impressed with their semi-auto fit and finish, but they seem to be a copy of the Beretta 390 action.
  15. I have one of their piston guns, and it is the best AR I have owned. The fit-and-finish is fantastic.
  16. I am a lefty, but right eye dominant. I carry lefty, but shoot everything else right-handed.
  17. You nailed it. I firmly believe that this election will be settled by who doesn't vote, not who does.
  18. Agree 100%, but would widen the comment to say that bigotry sucks. Anytime we judge people's motives based on the color of their skin, the religion they practice, or any other criteria than their character; we do a great injustice to the human race.
  19. I could be wrong, but I think all of the Ted Williams Model 100s are post-64 Winchesters.
  20. You will probably get a lot of varying opinions, but it should only take 15 to 20 rounds to break in most bolt guns. Break it in like you are going to shoot it. Fire a round or two, and let the barrel cool, then fire the next round or two. In my experience, the .270 win can be a fickle beast in regards to ammo selection. The two that I have had, the bullet design meant a lot more than weight. Once you find the right combination, there probably isn't a better whitetail caliber.
  21. Home Depot used to replace Ridgid batteries for life, but I don't know if they still do. I think the decision would really relate to which tools you need. If you are just looking for a drill, Festool makes an incredible product. They use brushless 3-phase motors and are much stronger than higher voltage competitors. If you want a drill and impact, then I would look at Hilti or Panasonic. When you look at full lines of tools, things change quite a bit. Personally, I like the Makita, Bosch,or Milwaukee tools better than DeWalt, but know plenty of people that prefer DeWalt. The DeWalts just don't hold up the way I use them.
  22. That is very cool. Gonna have to order one, and hope they start selling the larger version here soon.
  23. Outpost in Christiana used to carry the Comp-tac Minatour, which I think is a little more comfortable to the CBST in some circumstances. I haven't been in there in a year or so, but the did have a great selection last time I was there. As previously stated, DT usually has a good selection of Crossbreeds, if he can get them. I don't think you can go wrong with either option.
  24. His roles in McHale's Navy and Airwolf were epic.
  25. He is a RINO and should be hung from the yardarms like all the rest -just like Reagan, Nixon, Haslam, Harwell, etc. Seriously, I do hope that history is kind to the man, but I doubt it will. He was an honest man, of the highest integrity, and was crucified for it. He stuck by Rumsfeld and Ashcroft when maybe he shouldn't have. But you never heard him blame Clinton for the fact that our military strength was decimated. No President has been dealt a worse circumstance since FDR, and IMHO that he made the absolute best of what he was given.
