  1. Anybody have a good shoot? Ours was pretty sorry from a bird perspective, but all in a all had a great time.
  2. And have an incredibly high alcoholism rate - which is probably a probably a big part of the mental defects that mentions in the article.
  3. I have a buddy that still keeps a team of mules for logging duty. It is pretty amazing to see someone (who knows what they are doing) work them. It actually helps him quite a bit in his business, because he doesn't do near the damage to the property.
  4. Ouch, that is never fun.
  5. They do have a large impact, but you are only talking about a few states. California, New York, and Illinois combined are only 104 Electors.
  6. Actually, it is just the opposite.
  7. His speech would have been a lot better on day ne or two. I don't think that is technically correct. He has a JD, and passed the bar, but never practiced.
  8. The magnetic FO sights work ok for field loads, but I don't trust them for heavy loads or tight quarters (like a duck blind). I used one for a couple of years, and bought a screw in bead replacement. Overall, I am not a very big fan of FO sights, but they are fantastic on a shotgun. They wash a little (ok maybe a lot) at the wrong angle, but they are easy to pick up otherwise.
  9. Most of the conversion kits I have seen (mostly 1911), include a replacement slide that changes the pin placement.
  10. If I had to place a guess, it would be the ease and effectiveness of suppression in .308 vs .300 or .338, and the ease of switching between calibers.
  11. There is a direct link between population density, liberalism, aggression, and social pathology.
  12. Funny how he overlooks that fact, isn't it. Rather than eliminate the electoral college, I would much rather see the 17th Amendment repealed. Our founding fathers were genius in how they set things up. Most of our mistakes have come in how we have tried to "fix" their system.
  13. This ^^^^ Unless he had moved more than 60 days before he changed his address, there should be no reason to confiscate his permit. I also don't think that a policy change of this magnitude is within the purview of the department without legislative action, but would have to research further.
  14. I used the Barnes Vor-TX 150g TTSX last year, in my .30-06. While I haven't done any extensive scientific testing, the field performance was great (couple of deer and couple of coyotes). It also groups better in that rifle than anything else I have tried.
  15. Congratulations, and wish you many happy more years.
  16. Have you looked at the Spot On software? I am not sure on the rimfire version, but you can even order custom turrets based on your load.
  17. Well, I would say you have a keeper. In your shoes, I would be trading a Kel-tec for a new PM9.
  18. I had a chance to go, but didn't. Maybe I should have.
  19. They also issue the FN FiveSeven to some agents.
  20. It depends on the product you choose. A buddy of mine has a piano (he said it is 800 pounds) on his, and it hasn't been a problem.
  21. Most brands have a specific recommendation on orientation related to the primary light direction (usually parrallel IIRC). Since they float above the subfloor, it doesn't matter how your joists are laid.

Every Westboro protestor should be subjected to countless hours of this.
  23. Awesome, and thank you for paying it forward.
  24. I have installed about 15,000sf of several different styles of the laminate floors. There are nuances of each system, but all are very similar. The first thing to consider, is where your rooms sit relative to grade, and what your sub-floor is. Not a big deal if you are a wood, ply, or OSB sub-floor above grade. It can be a big deal if you are installing on a concrete slab below grade. Second, pay attention to the level requirements. It will make a huge difference in the finished product. Third, make sure you lay out the project correctly and heed the manufacturers recommendations regarding light sources. Fourth, always follow manufacturer's recommendations regarding off-sets. 3/8" may not seem like much, but it can make a huge difference in how the finished product looks. Fifth, have the right tools, especially if using laminate or bamboo products. You can do a great job with a skil saw, jig saw, and drill. But, you need to make sure you use the right blade/bit, and replace them when they are worn. From an upkeep standpoint, make sure you don't let any spills sit on the floor for any period of time. Otherwise, they are pretty bullet-proof. They are easy to clean, durable, and look good if installed properly.
