Moms Demand Action Targets Alan Jackson, Jeff Foxworthy
Wazzu replied to waynesan's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics

Carry options for XDm 5.25 .45ACP
Wazzu replied to Smokeman13b's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I started with an XD 9. When I got my XDm 45 I tried it in my favorite holster for the 9 and it fit well. I've found that all of the holster for my 9 fit my 45 just fine. -
Any of you guys have a recommendation for a general contractor to build a custom home on Watts Bar Lake outside Rockwood?

I use Tire Barn on Kingston Pike. The last couple sets of tires wore out too quickly and they covered them under warranty without hestitation.

I agree with you that there's no substitute for insurance. I was just amazed at how well the contents of that little safe survived the fire when nothing else did.

I'm going to have to disagree about safes and fire. I recently had my lake house burn down. It was a total loss. (Just to give you an idea how bad it was, the remains of my 2500+ sq. ft. house fit into a 30 yd dumpster [after I recycled the metal]). Anyway, I had a small cheap firesafe ($179 at home depot) that had some papers in it along with the keys to my Bobcat. Nothing was damaged in the safe. I am now a believer in firesafes.

Shoplifter at Chilhowee Gun Show Jan 28th
Wazzu replied to MattCary's topic in Events and Gatherings
I was there Saturday morning. It was the first time I'd been to a show at the JB and the last. There were far too many tables per square foot. It was way too crowded so I wasn't a bit surprised to hear of several incidences of shoplifting. I much prefer the Expo center for gun shows. -
In your opinion, what do you understand it takes for a person to get to heaven

By that logic, if your house is on fire I should only let you know about it if you're logged into a forum on house fires? -
SAVAGE OFFERS GINGRICH $1 MILLION TO DROP OUT OF THE RACE
Wazzu replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I find it hard to believe that Savage actually has a million dollars. If he actually does, why did he have to start a legal defense fund and beg for money to pay his lawyers. If Savage were half as smart as he thinks he is, he'd be a genius. I actually listen to him fairly often because our only other option in his time slot is Sean Hannity who seems to be limited to one thought per day which he repeats over and over. -
I've been to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong and never seen dog on the menu. (Not disputing the OP. Just saying I never came across it.) I have however, seen guinea pig on the menu in Peru. I haven't tried it yet...maybe next time.

If this is indeed a new trial, is it possible that they could be convicted and receive the death penalty this time?

Why does Mike McQueary still have a job at Penn State? Anyone who could walk in on a guy raping a 10 year old and not physically step in to stop it is not even a real man. Penn State has a lot to be ashamed for right now and having a wuss like this on their sideline is just one more thing of which they ought to be ashamed. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/10/sports/ncaafootball/aspiring-coach-in-middle-of-colleges-scandal.html?pagewanted=2&_r=3&seid=auto&smid=tw-nytimes

I have absolutely no qualms about lying to my doctor about this. As far as he knows I have no guns.

I had one whereI was hitting the BG from inside 10 yds and the bullets were travelling so slow that they were just bouncing off.

I pay about $16/month for $1million umbrella liability but it won't pay for intentional acts. When you pull the trigger, even though it may be justified, it is an intentional act. The NRA plan will reimburse you for your legal defense in a criminal case if you are acquitted by reason of self defense. It will pay for your legal defense in a civil case. (And yes, you can and probably will be sued even if you are acquitted or not even charged of a criminal offense.)

Thanks for the correction. I knew the laws had changed since I went there several years ago. At that time you couldn't even buy a bottle in the gift shop. I guess if you want samples you still have to go to Kentucky. They make some fine bourbon up there.

You can have my flip flop when you take them frommy cold, dead feet!! Actually, my flip flop have one purpose. I wear them to walk from the house to the dock to get on my boat. The real mystery here is why I actually took the time to write this.

Jack Daniel's Distillary in Lynchburg is interesting to visit. Some correct me if I'm wrong but I think they've recently changed the laws so you can actually sample???

I have seen and used these trailers. They were actually very common in Washington State where I used to live. Mostly it was a sideline for equipment rental or landscape material stores. I was very surprised when I moved to east TN and couldn't find anyone who rented them here. (Perhaps it's because the hills make trailers very difficult to maneuver.)

When I wrote our church employee manual I specifically did NOT include a ban on weapons. After the shooting at the Untiarian/Universalist Church in Knoxville, we were not about to make all of our members into defenseless victims. In addition, every service has designated HCP holders trained in security procedures.

What do you do with when leaving in vehicle?
Wazzu replied to NV2TN's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
The MicroVault by GunVault fits quite nicely in the center console of my Ram 2500. It's secured with a cable around the seat frame and is easy to access quickly. -
Pretty sure he means Wally World.
