  1. I have AK's in both calibers 7.62 and 5.45. I also have different AR's with multiple uppers. I enjoy shooting my AK's as much as any thing I own. The ammo being cheap is a plus. I have a custom built AK that ran me 550.00 almost a year ago. I don't know if I would pay more than that now. Why do I own them, because I can. You see a lot of AR's at the range. I haven't seen to many AK's. They are fun to shoot and can take a beating.
  2. I have shot a lot of steel case ammo through my 15 yo G19 with no problem. Mainly Wolf and S&B and some other stuff made in a country that ends in "stan" that I can't remember.
  3. St. Simons Island, GA about a hour south of Savannah. My family has been going yearly for over 30 years.
  4. No more than any of the other Com Block stuff I have been shooting. I bought about 3k worth in different batches. I have shot some wolf that was dirty one time and the next time not. I guess it is what ever powder is used that week.
  5. http://georgia-arms.com/380acp.aspx there is a five to seven week wait. But they do deliver.
  6. I work for a Auto Auction. Except mine is in Old Hickory. I wish I did work for the one on East Gate. I would only have a couple of miles to work. A lot of my customers are at the small automotive suites by Flying Lion. We need to work on getting together for a shoot. I have some Mosin's also.
  7. Very nice HK. I think that those of us that live on this end of the metro area should get together for a shoot. I live right at I-40 and 109. It seems all these shoots we have for Mid TN are in the Boro or south of Franklin.

    Breech lock?

Recoil operation is an operating mechanism used in locked-breech, autoloading firearms. As the name implies, these actions use the force of recoil to provide energy to cycle the action. Other operating systems are blowback operated, gas operated, gatling, and chain
  9. That is F*****g great. I hope it works out.

    Snow

Got enough for one snowball here. Maybe two
  11. We drove down around noon and the parking lot and the place was slammed. There was a line down the front of the building. Did not have the heart to fight the crowd with my 4 year old. TDR, you are going to love that 220. I have a Custom Shop 220 Elite SAO, it is by far my favorite pistol. Did you get it off a individual? I'm getting a 228 or 229 next if I can find the right deal.
  12. Happy B'Day to you. I also had to buy my own DW CBOB.
  13. It sounds like a great deal to me. I am waiting to look at the SIG .380 when Hero Gear gets one. Colt does not make parts for the .380 series anymore. I was ordering a new guide and recoil spring for a .380 Goverment model and they sent me straight to the gunsmith. He gave me the parts free of charge and mailed them to me. They are no longer supported.
  14. Very, very nice and at a good price I hear.
  15. I think I'd go with who ever charges the most !!!!! It was a difficult question to answer.
  16. I stopped by there last week. Just the ammo boxes there. Wood crates that 50 cal came in marked Barrett Firearms. I was told by the girl there, that it was Mrs. Barrett's place.
  17. +1. I own one also. At the time couldn't go wrong for the money. Getting ready to have her camouflaged.
  18. Welcome to the US. I have a cousin in Adelaide and an EX further south in Christ Church.
  19. What is a virgin kit?
  20. As far as 1911 38 Supers go, I believe Joe and Dan at Hero Gear can hook you up on a Colt. Rock Island .38 supers are all over Gunbroker and in stock at Centerfire Systems. From what I hear 1911 .38 Supers are one of the most in-demand guns south of the border. A lot are purchased here and find there way there.
  21. Brett @ neverenoughguns built mine. He is in Korea right now on a hardship tour and won't be home till early summer. He normally builds only his own kits from his supply. He does top notch work. His wife has been looking after things, you can call the number at the website to get a update. http://www.neverenoughguns.com/default.html
  22. I own one and a K98 that I have been working on for a couple of years. Hopefully when my little Girl starts school I will finish them up. Along with riding my motorcycle. I have a lot of friends that own K31's. They are at the top of the mil-surplus list. I paid about 120.00 for mine. They are going up and starting to get scarce. Mine had the name, service number and address of the last soldier to have it under the butt plate. Swiss soldiers keep their weapons at home with them to include a basic load. Even their Reserve members keep their weapons.
  23. Four of the phosphorous models. I don't know if I have even seen the other model. Two of mine are well over twenty years old. They still work great. I've been soldiering over thirty years and have not used one at night that often. Some of the Spec Ops (Snake Eaters) guru's could chime in.

    Over Under Advice

I own one and paid 499.00 for it when they first came out with all the chokes included. I love mine. It shoots a well as my Citori and I don't have to worry about abuse while hunting with it.
  25. I carry a G19 in a Galco summer special IWB for over 10 years.
