We were at the Dekalb County, Ga police range for our annual Army weapons qualification. Another Police Dept was sharing the pistol range with us. The RSO's watched their SWAT/Weapons instructor spank all commers with a High Point. It was one of the most accurate shooting displays I and the others have seen.

I had a free day yesterday and made it finally by Goodlettsville Gun shop and met Phillip. He was great talking to him. He had a selection of AR Lowers and pistols in all price ranges. Got the deal on AR lowers in the Nashville area. I then made my way to Guns and Leather in Greenbriar. It was packed and well stocked. I got to use their really nice range. They had a great selection of ammo, range ammo for pistol was 10.50 for 9mm and 13.00 for .40 SW. The gentleman who signed me up for the range gave me tour and showed me how to use the equipment. There pricing was good on what I looked at.

I thought GT Distributing is in Rossville, GA. How can you purchase one in Chattanooga if your a resident of TN? The TN LEO Glock dealer is in Knoxville.

Went down today and had a good time. Joe, Dan and the crew had it going on. Saw some fellow TGO'ers. Even Rod was there and we got to swap Mess Sergeant stories and recipes. I ended up with some 511 pants and hats. Saw a couple of items I will call about later in the week. They were very busy and it looked to be a happy crowd

I have one Century weapon left ( Because I had it tweaked) I have owned a few Century products and will NEVER, NEVER buy one again. If it is cheap enough you can fix it. Century has the worst customer service known to man. They deny anything is wrong until massive complaints start and you might go through two or three to get get one somewhat right. They are OK for ammo and C&R, just don't get anything they build.

A lot of shops say there are. But the only one is Craig's in TN according to Glock in Smyrna. A G19 is 398.00 with 3 mags and the box has a blue label. The cheapest I had seen was 499.00-529.00 lately with two mags. You can order directly from Glock but have to pay tax and shipping. The receiving dealer will charge transfer fee and TCIS.

I believe if you come under the Glock's homeland security program you can buy under their program. While I was there they asked several people if they were LEO/Military. They stated you had to be to purchase the Glocks. I think it is more expanded than this.

Took the Family on a trip to Gatlinburg this week prior to my mobilization next week. On the way we stopped at Craig's Firearms in Knoxville. The are the LEO/Military dealer for Glock and the only such dealer in the state. I took advantage of my status and picked up a Glock 30 SF with Ameriglow sights for a discounted price. They were extremely helpful and friendly. They answered all my questions for about the 15 guns I handled. Then we proceeded to the mountains and hook up with Magiccarpetrides and his Dad who gave me the lowdown on what to do in the area. Wife and kids had a great time. I will post a range report sometime hopefully in the next year.
