That's so wrong. Good to see you posting again.
  6. Colt just lost the rights to the M4 and has turned over all copyrights and plans to the Army in the last few months. FN who makes the 240/249 and SCAR and M16's are located right here at Ft Jackson/Columbia SC. You do see FN uppers on Colt lowers alot in the A2 configurations here used by the Trainees. Most of these weapon are well used and repaired and have had thousands of rounds down them. If you want a jacked-up weapon give it to a Trainee. The Drill SGT's here tell me the weapons are well abused in the teaching process and still work well.
  7. I am sure your referring to USMCR units. My unit ritually took care of there weapons (USAR). Until this most recent conflict most units had hand me downs. Only upon deployment were our weapons swapped out. BTW what are guns? Must have been in the Navy.
  8. Congrats

  17. A good place for used LEO Glocks and SIG CPO's and turn-ins. Firearms, Guns, Rifles. Grain Valley, Missouri. Sorry, saw were Smith had posted it. It is good a good place to work with.
  18. I would call the local VA and if not call the one in M'boro (York). They usually have listing to all kinds of support groups. The people or shops that make prosthetics also usually have a line on this.
  19. Damn, He was working on some pearl-lite grips for my Jennings.
  20. I have a 5.45X39 AR along with at least three others that I know. Between us we have fired thousands of rounds of Mil-Surp with no issues. We are also all running standard hammer springs. We did not install the orange ones. All of them are S&W. I have seen more issues with home built AR's than anything else. Especially ones that have been tinkered with by the owner and don't have a clue what they are doing.
  21. You still have to buy the lower with that kit. Plus the time involved.
  22. South Korean Army has been using the K2 rifle for over 20 years. A cross between the M16 with the AK long stroke piston.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daewoo_K-2
