  1. I am stationed at a basic training Fort. The Army met it's goals last August. Half the BCT Battalions are running at half capacity. Ft Jackson is like a ghost town right know. You have to go to Tank Hill to see trainees. I don't know about hood rat's getting in. At this time College grads are running at a all time high. High school grads are the norm, I understand no GED's.
  2. If you can find the original LMF it is a great knife. I have two. One is a tool and the the other is new. The LMF II is a good knife. It is made abroad. The orginal LMF has not been made in years and were serial numbered. K-bar or Ontario are great knives. I have carried their as issued Aviator knives for years.
  3. Welcome. I was just at Castle Heights last night. I know a few of your Alumni. On my 34th year of service myself.
  4. Sorry to hear this. I am home on pass and come Monday when I head back to the Fort I start missing my children 5 minutes out of the drive way.
  5. You might want to look at a SIG 220 SAO. I own a custom shop Elite 220 SAO and it is a fine pistol. One thing to remember the grip is thicker on 220 than a 1911
  6. If the price is right, yes.
  7. He should be able to sell it for what he wants. There are alot of others that have done the same here. Hell, I've had vendors post a price on here and when I got there the price was higher.
  8. Operation Petticoat. Good WWII Comedy In Harms Way. Great Movie
  9. Welsh Corgi and a Dear Headed Chihuahua.
  10. I also have had no problems with him twice.
  11. Glenn, Glad to see your coming back.
  12. +100 for my Dan Wesson Revoler 15-2V-2" - 15"

    Looking for AK-74

Your referring to the sale at Century. I am not. Mine is from a export/import company in GA. Same place I get my 10MM. A friend of my Brothers. Not open to the public. I think AIM has it for 129.95.

    Looking for AK-74

It's 7N6 from the Ukraine. From a distributor in the US. Is 5.45 made in China? I know they have a new service round. I used to buy ton's of Ammo from China is the late 80's. I preferred it over the current Russian offerings.
  15. I also moved here 11 years ago. It was called Nashvegas back then. Even in Atlanta it is referred to as Nashvegas by people I know. I think it has to do with the town from the 80-90's. Other than that I don't know.
  16. The Duramatic by High Standard is not made any more. There is a new company called High Standard out of Texas. They only market high end .22 pistols from the old line. They are having mixed results. I have a 1956 model. The old ones still comand a price and can be found on Gunbroker.

Not that true for all the Tantal's from Century. I have had one for two years and has never keyholed. I use strictly surplus. I know of two others that don't either. Mine was number 63. As of late the newer one's shoot good also. They come in 1/7, 1/8 and 1/9 twist. Most issues were shooting 70gr Wolf ammo which you can't find anymore. Most complaints have been INTERNET chatter from the same people. I have not seen one article where it has been proved by slugging the barrel for size. But Century has just as much trouble with WASR and CETME. I bought mine for around 500.00. The 5.45 sell for a much higher price than it's 7.62 brother in some of the more well known makers. the only exception being the Saiga. I also have a AR that shoots 5.45X39. This one is really accurate for what it is. I have been paying 107.00 per 1080. Not mater how many tins shipping is 12.50.
  18. Looks great!
  19. +1 Sam did a really good job on a Lupara Shotgun for me.
  20. Snowing in Gladeville/Mt Juliet. Sticking, but the ground in barely covered at this time.
  21. I also agree Atlanta was the greatest in the 60's-70's. We hung out on the South Side. Stewart Ave/Lakewood area. I even had a 68 VW Camper Van. We all had long hair and partied like there was no tommorow. Penny and dime beer nights at the clubs. Joined the Army and never looked back. Still soldiering and bald. They were great memories.

    Dan Wesson

I own a couple.I think for the money they are the best out there. I even have another on order. I also own Colt, SA and a RIA.
  23. I love mine so much I got another. One in 10MM and one in .45. Have a CCO on order.
  24. I own from a Rock Island Tactical to Dan Wessons. I find myself shooting my .45 SA 1911 Base GI more than anything. I carried a issue 1911 in a chest rig for my first war for a long time. I guess I just got use to it. The M9 just doesn't feel right. Although it is a great pistol.
