  1. I got it over two years ago in a buy with my brother when we purchased some AK-74's. I purchased 10 cans. It was through a guy at a export/import company my brother is friends with in GA. In 2007 Centerfire,Century and just about everybody had it. Then it ws Bulgarian, Russian and now Ukrainian is whats out there. I'm still looking for some 7N10 to show up.
  2. Love to shoot my Garands. Soon will have my K31 finished.
  3. I have been shooting Polish 5.45 surplus for awhile. I have never installed the orange spring. When I get to the Russian and Ukraine I was told I might have to. I am going to try a speed hammer and have the stock trigger tweeked.

I have the 20" green just like yours. I opted for the factory CQC optic from the factory. I am interested how your set up works. I can get a optic rail for around 100.00 where the optic is 325.00 purchased separately. RATWORX sells a threaded adaptor.
  5. Colonel, if you're thinking about getting one PM me. I know a place where the complete rifle is really cheap. I',m buying a second one for a project I have in mind.
  6. I have ran wolf and surplus. The wolf is nasty as hell. As far as the gas tube I have a large syringe that I squirt water down the tube, then follow with a blast of gun scrubber. Then I blow the upper dry with air. The newer ammo seems to me to be slightly corrosive compared to surplus that I have shot made in 50's to the 70's. I am paying .10 a round for surplus and .24 for silver bear (good ammo). We have shot thousands of rounds of surplus. Mine shoots better with the surplus. Maybe the lighter bullet. The rifle was designed to shoot the surplus. Hell it's a S&W and their warranty is great. A gas tube is 11 bucks.

Very nice piece. I saw it over on the 1911forum. Makes me want one.
  8. I have one and shoot the crap out of it . All surplus, likes the Polish best. I have two others SGT's at the Fort that own them. It shoots as well as any mil spec 5.56 AR I have seen. And we get to shoot them alot. Joe @ Hear Gear SBR'd one of his and told me it ran great. Don't let the corrosive ammo bother you. Just clean with hot water or windex first step. Cheapest place to buy is online. Locally Academy and many of the Gun Shops carry 5.45. Most of the eastern block reserves have not been relased yet. I have heard the former East German stuff is great ammo and should be on the market soon. BTW I got my upper from Joe. I have sold all my AR 5.56 rifles. I like this rifle this much. Got a new STG556 in 5.56.
  9. +1. The color looks tacky to me.
  10. That is so wrong. You would not believe the stories Soldiers tell me when they come home. I hear it from all 9 Southern States. The NCOIC if the IG Office and I try to one up each other every day on the best story.
  11. +2 . But he does have a way of not letting stuff go. He was warned a few times. It is great the Scene published it for our collective purpose. Strelcevina, glad you got some good deals. I have also in the past, things change and I for one will go elsewhere. There are good deals found everywhere if you look. LOL
  12. Let me know if you need any more. I don't head back out of town till Sunday.
  13. I think the write up was good. I still can't believe the Nashville Scene published it.I was getting tires put on early this morning when it was delivered and my children stated they knew that man. The reference to gun ownership in Germany is not entirely correct. I still am a member at two shooting clubs in Germany and have hunted often there in the past. They do have registration there. I guess some were just sheltered.

STG for the money. I got mine with the CQB factory optic for 1100.00.
  15. For some reason it didn't show until I went in. Thanks
  16. Bump
  17. Glad it worked out. I am only 12 miles from Hermitage. Thats Hwy 109.
  18. PM me with a phone number. I can help you for free. Pick up around 109/I40 area.
  19. Very nice slide. I see a longslide in the making.
  20. I have a new two story garage that needs drywalled and finished. I would like to get this done soon and have cash money. Need someone who knows what they are doing and can do a in and out job. Though I would give the money here before a contractor I don't really know. The location in just off of Central Pike and 840 in Gladeville. You can PM if needed. Thanks
  21. Somebody owes me a keyboard! LOL
  22. I hear TAPS every night at the Fort outside my Quarters window. Still gets me at times. The worst is Amazing Grace on the pipes.
  23. I have never had any issues at Stones River. I go on Friday afternoon when no people are there. The only issues I have had with the RSO's are when I am trying to teach my Son or I pull out something different or odd at the range. They tend to crowd you and interject their points at the wrong moment. I tend to stay away from the pistol range on the weekends. It can be very scary with some of the people that go there.
