  1. I use USAA . You can get a a rider in any amount needed. If they can't write it they have a General Agency Dept that can hook you up.
  2. Cut the stock. I did it for a Savavge Cub T. If you get a really good saw cut you can mate it up, glue and refinish. Or get a replacement stock later if it is a popular model. Even with a youth model some of these stocks have too much lenght of pull. It's only a .22. Good luck and have fun.
  3. I was on my way to St Simons Island.
  4. Welcome, I'm a GA transplant myself.
  5. I had a friend that had one a few years ago. It also allowed the ATF to inspect your entire home when they wanted, if the business is based out of it.
  6. +1 He has done work for me also.
  7. +1 After 8 pages I feel the need for a lift kit and a double wide. I agree the owner of a establishment has the right to do what he wants. It is my right to do what I want. I have also been in the dining, bar, night club and strip club business in Atlanta. All in working class areas. They are the best people around. I have seen a few shootings late night. I would allow carry in the businesses that served families. CK1, I love the way you lump the majority of us together. As far as insults read your OP. I didn't know Gallatin was such a upscale area.
  8. I am stationed in SC and you cannot carry in Rest/Bar. They are very strict about there carry laws. I have a TN HCP and it is honored. The biggest differance is you must inform the LEO and present your HCP when he identifies himself or ask for ID no matter what. I don't know what college your visiting, but if it's USC in Columbia the campus is all over town and it is hard to tell when on school porperty or not. South Carolina Law Enforcement Division
  9. I have a couple on Thompson Contenders.
  10. I have been going to St Simons Island, GA for over 30 years. Nice beaches, Not so much tourist inclined. Plenty of things to do there and within a hours drive of other places. I'm headed out on Friday.
  11. I was at FT Benning during parts of the trials. There was a lot of politics involved. From the Defense Review: DefenseReview readers may remember that we published the Presolicitation Notice for the 7.62×51mm (.308 Winchester) XM110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System (SASS), back in November (2004). Specifically, it was Solicitation #: W15QKN-05-R-0433. The 7.62mm XM110 SASS is supposed to replace the U.S. Army’s old M24 Sniper Weapon System (SWS). Well, DefenseReview was told early yesterday evening (Monday) that Knight’s Armament Co. (KAC) just won the XM110 SASS contract. They did it with a variant of the KAC MK11 MOD 0/SR-25 7.62mm sniper rifle designated as "SR-XM110". The competition had come down to two finalists: the KAC SR-XM110 and the… Remington MPD (Military Products Division)/DPMS Panther Arms candidate. So, the KAC SR-XM110 will now be known as the "M110". Chalk another one up for Knight’s. It was not clear why they went with KAC vs Remington/DPMS. That is why I also went with a DPMS for allot less money.
  12. My DW CBOB's Glock 19
  13. I have been thinking about buying a rifle chambered in 17HM2. Does anyone own one on here and can tell me their thoughts. I own .22, 22WMR and 17HMR. From what I have read it seems to be a good platform. It has a small but strong following in the rim fire circle.
  14. You did a great job Mark, All it needs is a Quad or Dual .50 in the bed.
  15. This is a great read, Thanks
  16. I went with a DPMS LR 308. For much less and it shoot's less than 1MOA. Take a look at their REPR or SASS model.
  17. I watched it for about ten minutes. It was painful. To me the shooting did not outweigh the drama.
  18. I'm in when you get it ready. I tried the Armor All and didn't notice any difference.
  19. Welcome to EFKFireDragon.com Nice people to deal with on barrels, especially the price.
  20. I have a 229 in 40. You can get barrels for .357 SIG and 9MM. I got mine CPO from SIG for 550.00. My last three SIG's have been Certified Pre Owned by SIG. They have been a bargin.
  21. I saw it and found it very dark. Makes one think about things. Had a one hell of a SHTF scenario.
  22. LOL! That was great.
  23. I have used the one in Lebanon and Gallatin with good results. It was over six months for my renewal to come back. This way you will have a copy of it if needed. Make sure you take proof of US citizenship. Better yet call to see exactly what you need to bring.
  24. Woke up to Reveille being blown outside my bedroom window. Make coffee and breakfast. Packed up the kids. Stopped at the water park and just made it in.
