  1. If you are use to a 1911 you might want to look at a SAO 220. They have a great trigger that is unique to this model only. I have a Custom Shop Elite SAO.
  2. I shoot a varmit barrel BDL 700 Remington I have had for years. Back when I started I didn't like any of the factory loads. I use a 105 grain Speer over IMR 3031. I have a friend that likes the 80gr GMX from Hornaday.
  3. I'd hit it like a 50 cal in the middle of a air raid.
  4. I have a Blackhawk is .41 mag for about 20 years. I t is one of favorite wheel guns. The .41 is a great round to hunt with also.
  5. I reloaded Accelerators years ago.. Two completely different zero's. It you have two different sights/scopes that would return to zero once taken off it might work. This was in the early 80's. I couln't get it to work out of a SAKO Finnbear in 30'06. Sako is about as MOA as you get in those days.

    My new EDC

Funny that you mention " He who shall not be named " is who I got this ATI FX45 from. He has a matte blue one also which was a toss up for me. I will be calling one of you two on that Widebody if you still have it. Now get to work!!

I've swung by the alleged place three times, as recent as yesterday trying to buy used Armscor widebody if that is where you are hanging out. Sent you a PM a day or two ago to find out.

Your'e right about Shiney!!! I have three stainless 1911's.
  10. This is a new player in the 1911 market from American Tactical Imports. This is the company that import the GSG 5 22 and the GSG1911 .22. The pistol is the FX Titan .45 in stainless. It is a officer size 1911 with a 3.18" barrel. It come with a ACT/Novak 7rd magazine instead of the traditional 6 rounder. The pistol is made by Shooters Arms Manufacturing in the Philippines The fit and finish of this pistol is fantastic. The small parts and frame are high polished and the slide has a matte top with polished flats. I took this to the range the other day and put 150 round of Ball, HP and 185 pr SWC Match without a problem. The trigger breaks crisp at 4-4.5 pounds. I own a few 1911's and this pistol out performs some my more expensive pistols. This is a sub $500.00 pistol and is a lot of bang for the buck. Next to it is a rare Wegner Swiss Mini Grip which was discontinued in 2005. I was lucky to find one new in the box at the flea market. LOL The picture doesn't do it justice.
  11. I have ordered on line and in the store. i would rather deal with the store. Most of my on line purchases have been oddball stuff the dealer didn't even have a line on or could not compete with price wise. That being said I rarely walk out of a store without buying something.
  12. That's a great deal. I have been paying 20.00 + TCIS. But I like my guy in the "Hood". No hassle and calls me when he has something he knows I might want. No hassle out the door price. I'm getting old and to tired to do math.
  13. I like the concept also. I will keep my eye on this for further reviews.
  14. Not happening!! Go Gamecocks !! Who knows maybe the Vols will win this weekend. Not!!!!
  15. Good Job! Thanks for a great read.
  16. I don't think his comments will hurt him. It was an analogy and a true one. What about Kiffin's big mouth? He will be around awhile. Being a Head Coach at Tennessee will be tough for anyone.
  17. The Florida State patrol had 3000 Gen 4 45 GAP Glocks made for them. It has a following in the LEO community due to being now loaded with the 230gr bullet in a smaller package. Unique Gen 4 Glock in .45 GAP for Florida Highway Patrol :: Blue Sheepdog
  18. When the great ammo shortage was going on every store I went to had 45 GAP. It is not that hard to find. GA Arms still offers it in bulk. This was the same thing they were saying about the 10MM. Five State Patrols use this round as standard issue. The Glocks in .45 GAP have always been cheaper than the others to promote this round. This includes the LEO/Mil blue label Glocks. The are great shooting guns. .45 GAP - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  19. My son has a Youth size matched set and he loves it. We have had no issues out of it. For the money I think it's worth it.
  20. Voted last Wednesday. No lines is Mt Juliet. NOW GO VOTE!!!
  21. It was on the opening page( Huge Block) on AKO/DKO for volunteers. Others were sent a personal e-mail to participate. Since USACAPOC is running rife with the issue they probably didn't included you. LOL
  22. No, not really. I think it was the aftermath of what might happen. The Gay Pride movement is a very vocal/public group. Most gay SM that I have met in the service don't want to live in fear. They also don't want a lot of hoopla over the subject and just go on business as normal if and when it is repealed.
  23. The survey was two part and voluntary. No names listed. just rank and branch. The question was to keep the policy or do away with it. Then there was a box for comments or your view on the subject. From discussing it with other service members I noticed that length of service, rank and age had a lot to do with ones opinion.I work at a General Officer level and so all ranks were present.
  24. Here is a place for some new production wood. Civilian Marksmanship Program eStore=
