  2. I like my Dan Wesson. They are made in NY. They are getting ready to announce their 2011 line. Rumor has it they are getting ready to get back in the revolver business. I have had a Kimber CDP tht I sold. Just couldn't get it to work for me. I have friends that all like the Rock Island MidSize. Great Buy for the money. I recenty bought a Offiicer sized ATI Titan FX45 that I have been very impressed with for a gun that is underr 500.00
  3. Yes, I can. Ask the Ms R1100R.
  4. That's great. Nothing finer than taking care of our service members.
  5. I aslo have a 637 and a 638. Even with normal .38's its a PIA to shoot. It's meant for close up work. You just need to practice. It's very easy to carry.
  6. I like it. It looks functional. I have been thinking of getting my G19 stippled.
  7. I have a new ATI FX Titan 3". It has had about 150 round of all types fired through it. I will have to put another 150 before I carry it. It has been flawless so far.
  8. I must be the exception. i bought a half moon rig for a Glock 30 and it is bulky. it's OK. But its a big rig compared to my MTAC. I have been using a new holster from Sticky Holster and it is comfortable. The khloster is OK for what it is and the price. I am going to try and cut mine down to see if I can get a better fit. I have a regular build 6' , 195lbs.
  9. I have used a officer model. Will need to go up on size. I have a Dan Wesson CBOB in 10MM. I check with my guy in Nashville and he is out of the size for a Government model. I went and fit my J-frame. But got a different model /shape than was stated so it would fit a couple of guns.
  10. That was a very nice story. I walked into my daughters school to pick her up. I was in uniform. I had every child from K thru 5 walk up to me and say " Thank you for your Service". They are teaching the kid's right at Gladeville Elementary. I had to get out of there because I was tearing up. It is for them and each other I do what I do. I have the privilege of taking care of our Reserve Service Members and Families on their first 90 days back in the USA for reintegration and needs.
  11. Very funny. Sent it to my wife.
  12. We need to hookup for lunch and shoot at that gun club of your soon. BTW the saga continues. I found a LNIB barrel for the Sport King for $45. I'm going to have it cut down and threaded for a new toy. The Hamden built guns are still a great find. i am still finding good buys on Hi-Standards. I just got a SIG/Hammerli Trailside for $380. Love those rare .22's. Don't worry, the Army will come along soon to pee in my Corn Flakes and ruin my karma.
  13. Bubba, I smoked two cigarettes and had a shot of Bushmills. I need to tell you about it. Our friend did the DT and couln't believe it.
  14. This man does wonders with triggers and his work is superb and a money back guarantee. His prices are great and include return shipping. Bill Springfield - www.TriggerWork.net
  15. It was NIB for $740.00 before shipping and DT fee.
  16. I posted this in a answer to a thread and thought I would share. I have been using a new holster called a "Sticky Holster" it works great for 25.00. I have holsters from $35-150 . This thing stays in place. Only in a pair of gym pants it shifted once. I have driven, ran, jumped, bend over and sat with no issues. No clips ,snaps slots needed. Works in all positions In and out as needed. I don't work for them. just truly impressed with the convenience of this product. I got to buy it locally so had plenty of time to check it out. I'm getting another one for my smaller pistols. If I want to change pistols it supper easy. It offered in sizes for multiple pistols. The one I have now will fit eight different pistols I own. S&W Walther PPK

I have a stainless PPK/s that was built by Ranger in Alabama for Interarms and it is a great peice. I also have look at the S&W produced gun and it's a shame. They also have alot of issues.
  19. I got this Springfield Loaded Longslide a couple of weeks ago. I have always wanted a Longslide but what is offered tends to be very expensive from the bigger names. I even called Rock Island and they wanted $1200 to start what they called a custom build. A friend told me about the Springfield Longslide and how they were offered periodically. I started looking and ran across one out of state at a very crazy low price. This one is a tack driver that will do cloverleafs at 20 yards and and one ragged hole at 15 yds while breaking it in. It feeds all types of ammo from cheap ball to match 185's. It had a trigger job by John Wall at Eastside Gun that breaks like a glass rod at 4lb's. It is sporting a set of Chip McCormick deluxe red cocobolo thin grips. I have a red fiber optic front sight coming from Fusion that John will install. I am setting this up for my hog/pig hunt in Georgia in a few weeks. I think it will work out great!
  20. +1 on the Revision. They are what is issued to all the Army recruits. You can even have optical inserts made. The ones i have have bi-focal inserts made for shooting. They are the SAWFLY model.
  21. Very nice. I had a Randall many years ago. It got ganked while living in the barracks in Grafenwoehr. I might have to revisit this. I replace it with a original Gerber LMF. It has been in my safe for 20 years.
  22. The Savage. But the CZ452 will run circles around it.
  23. Happy B'Day "Jarheads". Semper Fi from an ol' dogface.
  24. When I was stationed in Germany I got introduced to the Brenneke brand of slugs. Benn using them ever since. They offer a rifled slug for using in a smooth bore. Home
  25. I have carried both a 220 and a 1911 with out much difference. For me and others I know it has to do with the right holster and the shape of ones body. With the exception of my longslide and 10mm 1911. My 220 shoots much better for me.
